I'm a regular!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/06/06
This is my new favorite place to hangout and entertain. Great loose teas unlike the chains and their teabags. The ginger-lemon tea I was told is made in house. Before work I stop in for my morning tea and sometimes afterwork I treat myselft to a frozen ice dragon!

My favorite place

Sweetwaters is a great new coffeehouse in downtown Royal Oak. I'm tired of going to cookie-cutter cafe chains. I love their staff and the Dragon Pearl Jasmine Tea - a little more expensive but definately worth it! Plus, this is the only coffeehouse in the area that I can get a great dessert with my tea. This is my favorite coffeehouse!

It's unfortunate
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/04
While I don't frequent the Ann Arbor location, I have stopped by the Royal Oak cafe several times. At first, it seemed Sweetwater's would be a delightful new addition to my morning routine, not because of the atmosphere or the short lines, or even the menu (which, in my opinion, is a little overrated and overpriced) but rather due to the lovely personalities I enjoyed getting to know every morning. It was because of these sweet caring people I was able to overlook the extra expense. However, in recent months I have noticed that the smiling faces that I looked forward to have vanished and in their place a stream of unfamiliar and uninterested strangers. How could this be? How could you let yourself get into such a position?
