Went to this store today, April 8th at about 3:00. My girlfriend came from Glastonbury, CT and we decided to take a ride to Lenox to shop. When we entered the store we were not greeted. We walked around for over 20 minutes. The sales lady NEVER acknowledged we were there. I guess we did not look like we were buyers. WAS SHE WRONG. I came into this store to buy a top I saw in the window. I even stood in front of the top and said to my friend here it is and this sales person walked by and fixed sweaters next to us and NEVER said "Can I help you find your size?" I loved the clothing but I left the store without a purchase because of the person on duty. They must be doing a great business because they did not want mine.
Loved shopping here...so many wonderful and unusual things. My husband, who loves to shop with me, and I went there on a Sat afternoon. The 3 saleswomen were very pleasant and helpful. The most fun thing I bought was "a little black apron." Also in my shopping bag were jewelry, a great wallet, a top with sparkles, a belt, soap and some greeting cards. All in all, The Purple Plume is now one of my favorite shops in Lenox.
