Pirate Adventures, Barnstable

We went with my 6 year old daughter and 11 year old son. My son was a great sport. This is for the 3-6 year old crowd. My daughter had a great time. We probably wouldn't go again, would rather go on a whale cruise.

The kid's had a blast! I was watching the kids watching the crew. They were hanging on every word. If only our school teachers could engage our kids like this! It was awesome! Worth the price of admission times two!

This was aimed at touching kids' imaginations, and succeeded. Loved the attention to detail, the smooth plan to keep kids' attention (searching the boat for the treasure map while moving out of the harbor, for instance), and our kids are still talking about it almost a year later. The staff was genuinely interested in doing this with the kids, not just spouting a formula, which really impressed me. My one complaint, super minor -- the "grog" pulled up for the thirsty kids at the end was root beer, and my kids don't like carbonated stuff. It would have been nice if it were just plain Kool-Aid or some such.
