Barrington Brewery

My wife and I visited here after a beautiful fall ride. There were only two other tables with patrons at the time. My wife ordered a cup of chili and a side salad for $7.95. Small cup and small salad. No bread or crackers were served. She also ordered a coffee. I had a "Philly chicken, cheese" sandwich on a roll for $8.95. The sandwich was on a 5 inche grinder roll. There was more bread than filling. A pickle slice and a small dish of cole slaw were on the same plate. I too ordered coffee. The waiter never visited the table again until he offered the check. We asked if we could have another coffee. We got the coffee refills.(Very badly needed after my consuming the thick, dry, roll.) Our check now arrives. It is $26.00! I believe we were charged an additional $3.00 for coffee! I asked to see the manager and was told that he just left. Evidently there was no one else in charge. We paid the outrageous bill and left. Needless to say. We were NOT happy with our visit here. We wrote a letter to the manager/owner and after more than a week we have not received a reply. I will assume that they are used to, or, satisfied with unhappy guests.
