Everything about the canal was wonderful. The rangers went out of their way to assist us with whatever we needed and were extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal. Secondly, the Allegany Visitors Center was also more than adequate in suggesting places to stay, eat, shop and just enjoy the surrounding area. I would go back again--in a heart beat. The area is beautiful.
