Baltimore and Annapolis Rail Trail
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/15/04
I am from New Hampshire and am writing about the trail as person who does not live nearby. The trail is in very good condition. The southern part is more interesting than the northern part. The northern part is near busy roads and near some large shopping areas. It is all pretty much a suburban trail like most in the Washington area. I was disappointed that it isn't close to water; in this area I expected it to be. There are many road crossings like in most trails near big cities. The Planet Walk (described in Rails to Trails magazine Fall 2004) at the northern end was interesting and according to the magazine, there will be more there in the future. I made the round trip on the trail and then not being from the area bicycled into Annapolis on route 450 from the southern end of the trail. This was worth doing; there is a good shoulder into the city. The city is worth cycling through.
