Searsport Antique Mall - Don't miss it!
By A Yahoo Contributor, 10/1/04
Travelling along Rt one in Maine is a antiquer's delight! Various size shops filled with antiques (the real and the reproduced) along with outdoor flea markets can be found on the right and the left for miles on end. One of the most remarkable by far, is the Searsport Antique Mall. This is an enormous building - two floors - filled with booths filled with all things old from a variety of periods and from an equally diverse number of countries. Some booths are superior in the quality of their displayed antiques, others present an array of interesting objects however young they may be. From jewelry to toys to furniture to pottery - you're likely to find it here. One hint: If you are short on time, skip the lower floor - (as it seems to be less organized and contains fewer quality items).
