Ok, some false advertising

The crew was very nice and informative. The boat ride was wonderful (on a hot sunny day) and we saw several dolphins that came right up to the boat. However, we saw no whales. Within 5 minutes of being on the boat, the captain told us that there was a "dryspell" and very few whales had been sighted recently (wish he has told us before getting on the boat). The captain spent a lot of time trying to find whales and he saw about 4-5 with binoculars but no one on the boat actually saw these Minke whales. When I spoke to Marge, the manager, about receiving the free voucher as described on the website-she stated that the first mate declared the boat as having whale sightings. This was very disappointing considering that we did not actually see whales (and we were right next to the captain the whole trip) and the company promises a voucher if there are no sightings. It seems they try very hard to have "sightings" from afar to avoid providing the passengers with the free vouchers-kind of false advertising! Otherwise it was a wonderful time and whale watching is definitely all luck. Would consider using this company again but would definitely do more research and inquire about the free voucher before committing to the $50 trip.
