A Unique Experience

Recently this British goods shop was devasted by a fire, but the new location across from L.L. Bean's and a nice restaurant has only enhanced its status as one of the most pleasurable shopping experiences in town. With its higher visibility, it seems that shoppers have caught on, too. No surprise since the great locale is beautifully designed with their interesting and reasonably priced range of British gifts, food (and candies!), and clothing. It was packed when I visited but there were no long lines at the cash registers. The people who work here were really nice and helpful, too.
A newspaper article next to the cash register told the story of how the owner, bedridden by Lou Gehrig's disease, redesigned it all. Truly inspiring.
