the campgrounds were very clean and quite, however, there is a lot to be said about the water fall for the july 4th weekend, i was so looking forward to it for my grandchildren, couldn't wait to get there so they could enjoy themselves and be cool. we were told they had to have the ph level checked by the state, and couldn't open it until they gave the ok. come on now, you would think with a park like that and it being a holliday, someone somewhere could have taken care of that problem before campers started arriving for what they thought would be a good time and a fun time to stay cooled off. not so sure we will return, we went there with such high expectations and got let down. also, there are way too may bee's and hive's in the tree's as well as in the ground. my grandson got stung by 3 and is highly allergic to them. no one told us to be aware of an abundance of bees!! i feel the park should have taken care of this before any one got stung. had i known about the bee infestation, we would have NEVER made reservations to camp there. we had to give him an epipen injection so he could breathe!! as a matter of fact , i know we will NOT be returning. to say the least, NO phone service what so ever!!!! thank god we didn't have to bring him to a hospital for treatment!!!
over all the park is very clean and quite, no much more positive to say about it. ct from denham springs,la.
