I been to grant st a couple of time and it is simliar to Nitecaps on McKinley..matter of fact it is the same owner.. So on saturday nights if u feel like listening to rap music and surrounded by smoke and sometime fighting than this is the place to go LOL..no lie I go every blue moon but have not really enjoyed myself in a long time. I prefer going downtown and just enjoy all the bars and clubs they have to offer.
I think the atmosphere in great. This place has been remodelled and is well ventilated. I am a nonsmoker and was not bothered by the smoke at all. When I was there, the age group seems to be more 25 to 50 years old.
I watched Billy Currington and thought the sound was fabulous. Grant hosts many varieties of music also. Tab Benoit will be there tomorrow night and I can't wait!!
My husband and I have gone to Grant Street and really enjoyed it. I feel like it's mostly a College thing but there's always a mix of all ages anywhere's from 21 to 65 or so and everybody is always welcomed. The music is the best especially if you love Cajun and Zydeco.Wish we had a place in Monroe for Cajun and Zydeco!.
