Fantastic
By AnneL, 02/09/08
We was staying at Wildlife Gardens (preKatrina)& Miss Betty took us here Sat. night. We met up with her friends, and one sweet lady translated some lyrics for us. Some were pretty racy for their time, and surprising still! A busload of Belgian kids were there, dancing & singing, just ecstatic that they found French in the USA. Finally, just before they had to leave, their busdriver got up & sang a fabulous Blue Bayou in the smoothest baritone I have heard in a long time. The kids left, screaming Au Revoir!, exhausted and beaming. Don't miss this place and Wildlife Gardens, where you can stay or just take a tour. Anne & Roger

Third Visit & we'll be back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/07
Wonderful, friendly, family atmosphere. Great music, fun for all! We make a point of getting to Jolly Inn every time we are in Houma! If you decide to eat while there, the portions are generous and tasty. Casual atmosphere which encourages you to make new friends. We have!

Jolly Inn Is Awesome
By Laurie Brown, 07/17/07
We were just in Houma in July 2007 and went to the Jolly Inn and loved it! The music was great and the people were so friendly. They taught my 8 year old daughter to dance and play the washboard and triangle. By the end of the evening she was up on stage playing washboard with the band and dancing the zydeco train. We had so much fun. You will never meet a nicer and happier group of people than the Cajuns in Houma. We can't wait to go back

FUN AT THE JOLLY INN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/08/07
we went to jolly inn in houma in may of 2006 and may 2007. i am a musician, an accordionist and the couche couche band allowed me to sit in with them. had fun and learned something too. drinks are reasonable. the locals come up to talk with you and dance, even though we are complete strangers. they made us feel very welcome. my wife learned some cajun 2 step and everyone was so warm AND welcoming/ we will go next year

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/06
Jolly Inn is a good time for all. If you don't know how to dance it's ok, they will show you. GO and have a great time! Also, go to Tipintina's of New Orleans while your in Louisiana.

Jolly Time in HOUMA, LA
By Donna, 08/11/06
Loved it! Great Cajun band! The local folks were delightful! I loved dancing and playing the froittoir (zydego washboard). We were in town staying at the Good Earth Village, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. We worked on a couple of area homes. The people were all wonderful, and we had the best time at the Jolly Inn.

Great Louisianna Hospitality
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/07/06
I went with a large group on a mission trip to Houma for the disaster cleanup down on the bayou and the last night we went out. We went to the Jolly Inn and had a great time! The food and music were amazing. The people treated us like family and we learned to do the Cajun two step. Will return the next time I'm in Houma.
