Horseshoe Casino & Hotel, Bossier City

Admittedly, the variety of food in the buffet is down from Horseshoe previous high standard. Its the economy, stupid! Add to that the freeloading non Casino users that come to the buffets on occasion by the busload(non junket but local facilities) and you can readily see why some changes have had to be made. I, personally do not like the new cafe as opposed to the old one; but, the food is still excellent and I have always had exceptional service. I have never had a complaint of any type regarding accommodations, personnel service, and Casino action. Horseshoe still the best in Shreveport/Bossier City area.

When I get a few hours, or days if I'm lucky, Horseshoe Casino is where I head. Never am I disappointed with the personnel, the hotel nor the food in all the restaurants. The gambling is sometimes a little shakey, but that is why they call it gambling. I have won great jackpots here in the past. The comps are the best that I have encountered anywhere in the country.

Had lunch at buffet on Friday,March 16th and was very disappointed.The oysters were very small in size and were very soggy. Crab legs were dry and hardly any meat inside.Fried shrimp was micro sized and when I got to meat station there was only a small piece to choose from.This was quite a disapointment because we have always taken out of town friends to the buffet because of it's high quality and choices of seafood. Also, the price is higher than the other casinos so you would expect better food.
