It had ample parking. It's not a huge exhibit but still fun to see the animals. I loved the Bobcat. Our daughter liked it too.
Also if you have kids, it is directly in Riverside Park. It has a nice playground. The river is nearby. Also there is a kids water fountain where all the kids play in the summer.
i was raised in kansas and i remeber when we went there for a field trip i loved it cause the showed alto of animals that live in kansas or in nearby states so you really get a sense of what was once in your backyard or what still is. i loved it and i strongly disagree to the other person saying it was sad it was terrific lol.
This is not supposed to be a Zoo, but it is a nice and well-kept place to see a wide variety of animals including minks, an opossum, a skunk, a sweet BOBCAT!, tons of birds of prey, and a particularly interesting Turkey Vulture named Chuck. There are also ducks and herons and turtles. The other review said that the place is terribly kept and that the animals should be let go, but this is not true at all. The animals are cared for every day, on specially formulated diets, and taken care of by one of the most caring ladies ever (I have talked to her many times). Like the title says, the exhibit isn't big enough to make a trip especially to see it in particular, but, since it is in a park, you could have a nice picnic, play on the playground with your kids, and see really neat animals all in one trip!
I felt sorry for the animals in those cramped spaces. They are NOT in their natural surroundings and should be set free. That is a pathetic excuse for a wildlife exhibit. Who takes care of it anyway? It was dirty and cramped and not enough things to make the animals comfortable. I am sure they are going stir crazy in there.
