Central Mall Aquarium, Salina

The fish tank is great i love it. its my favorite thing about the mall. always has been always will be!

Alright, I'm sorry, but it's three catfish, an alligator snapping turtle and a bunch of bluegill. Not that interesting. I grew up watching that snapper take out everything in it's path....very slowly...we have other things in this town outside of the bloody aquarium...I know this, I've lived here for twenty years!

It would be educational and interesting to watch if the kids weren't distracted by the rides, icecream, playground, etc right behind them. But I think I heard the mall is going bankrupt anyway?

This is a neat little Aquarium. It is very small though. If you happen to be stopping into the mall you won't be able to miss it, but don't drive your family across the state for the 5 minute look at the fish tank.

First of all, especially with gas prices, I would not recommend any lengthy drive just to see this attraction but if your in the area of the mall stop in. There is nothing special about this attraction. It is set up to look like a giant fish tank with a variety of Kansas’s native species. It is a great learning tool as your can observe typical fish movements and see how they hide behind cover. If you get the opportunity to watch it at feeding time is when the real excitement begins. Fish come alive and the tank is active. The "attraction" is located in the noisy food court of the mall. If you want to use it as a learning trip good luck as the nearby food, rides for the kids, and the play area usually take away from the true value. I have rated the value of four because its free but if I had to pay a dime might be on the pricey side.

I think the fish tank is a very nice addition to the mall, it is all about Kansas. And after all we are from Kansas, plus the Mall itself has allot to offer close by. the food court is nice, a little over priced on some items. But you can usually make a few bucks while your in the mall from that Research place, they are very nice and interesting people. After shopping sometimes you can even get involved in some of the take home to try products from the research place and they will find you if your at the fish tank. So yes my family highly recommends the fish tank and the Central Mall

Why anyone would consider this an attraction is beyond me, however, it is nice to glance at as you are walking by. It is not something I would specifically go to see.

Its a fish tank in a mall. It has a turtle, some fish from surrounding lakes, and algae. I would go every day if I could.

It's alright for a mall but, it's small it stinks and it's small. Kid's love it i'm sure and it could be a great distraction for them. Don't plan your day around it.
