Allen Fieldhouse, Lawrence

The best time to visit is during basketball season...that is when it is at its prime. So many great fans...So many traditions. If you are going through Lawrence in the winter this should be close to the top of your list.

Allen Fieldhouse is unequaled by any other stadium. The fans are nuts yet respectful. It is an enjoyable experience for KU fans as well as the opponent. Just BEWARE OF THE PHOG!!!

atmosphere and fans are terrific, texas's stadium is awfull compared to this one, maybe one day the will build a stadium for my longhorns like allen fieldhouse

because it was a great enviorment for us to go to it is good. :) the feild house is a good place to go to its a great place for adults to have fun and drink beer and i will go back next time theres a shocker game

We recently came to a game in the old Fieldhouse to cheer for our team. The fans were really nice to us and treated us respectfully, something I can't say for other schools.I t was a really nice trip and one I would make again. The Fieldhouse is worth the trip alone, even if you aren't a basketball fan you'll love the excitement of the KU crowd. Our team got beat badly, but it was still fun. We enjoyed the pre game Rock Chalk chant. Some KU fans told us they were remodeling the building to make it more up to date, but it still feels like a 1950s era arena. Wonderful tribute to the "Father of Basketball Coaching" -- Phog Allen.

As a longtime Kansas resident, the first time I attended a basketball game in Allen Fieldhouse, I thought I was prepared for the atmosphere. I was dead wrong. The feeling of watching a game at the legendary venue is absolutely awe-inspiring. Named after the legendary coach Phog Allen and located on Naismith Blvd., named after another legendary KU coach who just so happened to invent the game, Dr. James Naismith, you too will find yourself completely swept up in the magic.

Allen Fieldhouse was great. It's a good landmark for history of the Kansas Basketball. It was very interesting inside of it.

This place is awesome! No place like it in college basketball.

it's an unforgettable experience. a great team, and a great place to watch them play! you wont forget it
