Children's Museum of Kansas City
The Children's Museum of Kansas City is a community resource that promotes imagination and creative thinking in young children by providing art, cultural, educational and interactive exhibits and programs
The children's museum was fun! You can be a kid with your kids! There is a real stage with costumes, a shadow box and a puppet stage, a "real" grocery store, with carts and checkout. There's the "city" to visit. You wear hard hats and go down into a manhole just for the fun of it. So much more to do, I can't even remember.
Our favorite area was the recycled section. For a few dollars, you get to create anything you want with donated recycled items. We made musical instruments and fun pictures with puzzle pieces. This is an all day adventure if you want to or you can come for a few hours. The price is very reasonable for what you get.
The area and the outside of the mall isn't much to look at, but it is still worth going.
We plan to have my daughter's birthday party there.
Hope you go and have as much fun as we did.
