The owners are so knowledgeable about their artists. A visit here is better than any history or cultural class I've ever had in college. If you are traveling through Abilene it is definitely worth the stop.
Since visiting Patt's and Lynn's establishment while on vacation a few year's back and being treated to a very professional private tour, we were smitten by the museum quality art, the informative literature and books, but especially the owners' knowledge and willingness to share information concerning the artwork and artists' backgrounds. Patt and Lynn are personable, personal and professional in working with people to make the visitors' experince completely satisfactory! One could not ask for more! The visit is an education in itself and Patt and Lynn are the teachers. You all need to visit, browse, purchase and learn. We did!!!
Every time I have stopped by the center, I have learned something new. I can guarantee that everyone who takes the time to explore the center will be greeted in the most friendly manner by the owners who will make any weary traveler feel very welcome. Guests will never be pressured into purchasing any item.
Although the center as a whole is small and has no public restroom, the authentic art and items are beautifully and effectively displayed. All items are easy to view and to access in a very relaxed atmostphere. I find it to be a space that is really fun and relaxing to experience.
Visitors are encouraged to ask questions. I have discovered the information to be interesting and helpful to me in my teaching profession. I really appreciate and thank the owners for their educational assistance to me and my students.
First the owners there are lovely hospitable people. The art center is excellent. All items offered are 100% American Indian made. Craftsmanship at its finest. This is a must stop, shop and see for anyone interested in Native American Indian Art. They also have an extensive offering of books by Native Americans.
Owners are professional and know their business. You will be glad you stopped in and I almost guarantee you will return again next time.

Working where I do now, I see how a business should and shouldn't be run. *L* They have a nice set up with beautiful art and jewelry and a smile. They're always ready with information. I remember several years ago when I lived in that town, I used to go in there all the time just to look. I never bought anything, but they never gave us dirty looks or kicked us out. Just warmly talked to us about heritage and even gave us candy.
