worth the visit!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/09
I was married @ Taltree almost 5 yrs. ago(long before the restrooms were built and gardens matured) & fell in love w/ the atmosphere. I would def. rate this as one of the best parks in our area, the gadens , shelter & privacy provide the perfect setting for a picnic w/ the family, a beautiful garden wedding, & a naturally uplifting concert- not to mention the hiking trails that wind thru the many acre woods & prairies. I absolutely love it here & pass the name out there as much as possible.

Great park
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/05/08
We went one fall and liked all the beautiful gardens, and the highly landscaped areas, especially the rose garden. From the description, it sounded like more of a nature area, so we were glad to find the nicely groomed lawns, trimmed trees and shrubs, and flowers. We found it more like a quiet personal country club with no children screaming and running around and not so dirty and uncomfortable like a lot of the nature areas we've been to in Indiana. It is a classier park than those others. Surprisingly, there were virtually no people around, though. That would be the only negative part, because it seems like there should be people and staff out there so visitors are not so alone.

Taltree Arboretum and Gardens
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/09/06
We did not find the arboretum to be much like its description. We drove from Chicago and found the sanctuary to be full of construction, dust and noise. The pavilion area was nice, but pretty small. We would like to visit again in a few years, after the construction is finished.
