Morris Performing Arts Center, South Bend

I love broadway and the Morris offers so many amazing shows right by my house. I am close to chicago however the Morris is less that half the price of a chicago broadway ticket. The bistro below is yummy for food before the show as well.

As far as theaters go, this one is gorgeous. Even sitting in the so called cheap seats you still feel a part of the action. The interior of the builing is a marvel to look at in it's ornate carvings. If you have a chance to see any kind of performance here don't pass it up.

A fantastic place to see all kinds of concerts and events. Truely an amazing example of saving our architectural history. This started as burlesque house and has evolved into one of the finest theatre's of its size in the country. Do not miss a chance to see it and the Palais Royale next door.

The whole ambience of this theater makes one feel comfortably at home while all at once being swept away to another era. Regardless of what kind of event you see here (I've seen classic rock shows as well as Christian rock artists) you always feel as if you're here for something prestigious, classy and regal, as this is the feeling this place gives off. I LOVE seeing shows here and there is truly not a bad seat in the house!

This is probably the most perfect theater I have been in. First, the restoration is fantastic! Sheer architectural beauty, both inside and outside. My compliments to the restoration organization. Second, the accoustics are almost perfect. Heard two concerts recently, one a broadway play and the other was the Celtic Woman concert. Dynamically different but the sound was great, no matter where in the theater you sit. Third, the facility is clean, even the restrooms downstairs. I prefer the smaller venue where you are close to the performers so you won't need binoculars here. The only downside I found is the parking. Parking garages are the norm and some are almost three blocks away. There is some street parking nearby but getting those spots are pure luck. Great place to see a performance!

this beatifully renovated theater(ie Performing arts center) is a gem for South Bend. It has a variety of venues scheduled.One of them being the broadway theater league with traveling broadway shows that stop here. WE SHOULD BE SO LUCKY in this town!!!! yes chicago is close, but it should be said that we are fortunate. the stage/backstage also has been enlarged and enhanced. the only drawback I see is that while MOST traveling shows bring their own sound system, this theater has a poor system of its own. also the home of the south bend symphony (of course you dont need soundsyst. for that!!!!)
