Great for making memories
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/08
I have visited BCSP annually scence 1988,along with my family. I never had anything bad to say about this place. Now that I have my own children, I see the love they are developing for it as well. This is something that we can always look foward to...together.We usually spend no more then $500.00 on our trip. Thats really inexpensive for a family of four to eat, sleep, play and shop for 3 or 4 days.Great place. Would, without and doubt, recomend to anyone.

Best time with my family
By Dolphin, 05/09/08
I remember as a child packing up the car with a blanket, the coolers, picnic basket packed with food, and setting the fried chicken up in the back window of the car so it would stay hot and heading for Brown Co. State park. It was about an hour trip but with the smell of the chicken in the car it seemed like forever. There was alot to see and do at the park. Picnics, Volleyball, fishing at the lake, swimming at the lake or pool, biking, hiking, climbing, tennis, croket, badmitten, just about anything you could think of even horseback riding. Yes I can say it was well worth the time and money spent going out there for the day. The views along are outstanding. Then to get there you pass a little town named Nashville. This town has some history. In the shops are old old stuff. And there use to be an old house on the main roads that was a resturant. Wow what tasty food that was... Go enjoy I promise you will.

It's a hard place to leave
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/07
My back yard is about 1/2 mile from Brown County State Park property and I gotta say I wouldn't have it any other way. My family and I hold annual passes to the park and spend a lot of time there. There is an olympic size swimming pool, lakes, trails for hiking and biking, camping, a lodge, a restaurant, log cabins for rent, plenty of shelter houses, well located and clean bathrooms, play grounds, horse back riding, hay rides, a nature center, lots of educational environmental classes available, fields, mountains, even a fire tower to climb. The gorgeous views are endless throughout the park. In Brown County, IN this is a must see. You can't miss it. It sits on 15,696 acres off hwy 46.

Unbelievable Autumn Scene
By Robbin, 10/05/05
This park is magnificent. The beauty of the rows and rows of hills with trees is breathtaking. The autumn leaves are hues of orange, red, and yellow for miles. It is one of God's most awsome sights.

Great Fall Treat
By EthanM, 09/27/05
Brown County State Park represents a perfect picture of the beauty of fall colors in the Midwest. If you love the outdoors the hiking trails are a wonderful way to experience the park. Yet, at the same time there is a great driving tour available. Combine this with the proximity to Nashville's shopping center of little mom and pop stores and you can spend several days. If you are interested in art there is also the TC Steele Memorial nearby which provides yet another wonderful glimpse of the beauty of the region. Come Fall or Spring for the best colors depending on which you like to see more. Regardless it is a wonderful place to visit year in an year out.
