Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets, Michigan City

I can't say what I liked because when I arrived, it was closed. Almost the entire mall. Apparently they have winter hours and close at 6:00 (according to the sign in front of the mall office, it said 6:00, while a sign on the backside said 6:00 PM CST. The website stated 9:00 PM. Drove from Steger, IL too. Not much response from mall management, shows the continued decline in these great United States. Mall layout is odd, considering it's location. Have to park on the outside, wall in open environment inside between shops. Must not have good winter business. Structures appeared to be in good shape. Security patrolling rigorously.

As a preteen, I naturally love shopping. So once my close friend and I got the chance to accompany my grandmother in her trip to The Lighthouse Mall in Michigan City, we jumped at it. We stayed on a Friday night at the Bluechip hotel, and on Saturday, we spent five hours at the mall. We spent the majority of that time in Aeropostale. At Aeropostale, we found amazing prices. We were treated nicely and with respect. We ended up spending around $150 in that one trip. I now join my grrandmother maybe once or twice a month in going up to the Lighthouse Mall. I love this mall and I am actually going there in an upcoming trip with my mother. I can't wait!

What I loved about Lighthouse Outlet was the bargains on the brands I love. There is a Burberry clearance outlet and a DKNY Jeans clearance outlet which always makes me happy to shop!

I have went out shopping the day after Thanksgiving for about 12 years and wanted to go someplace different. After looking at the website and noticing all the sales I thought I would try the outlet malls. What a disppointment. Some stores were not even open yet and most of the stores you could have purchsed the same thing in a regular store for the same price. The outlet mall stores were having the same sales that they were having at the regular malls. We were there for almost 2 hours and didn't buy a thing. There were stores that were so full you couldn't get in. We were not the only ones disappointed you could hear other people talking about it also. I will never shop there again after Thanksgiving.

We went shopping and got alot more than we expected. We went into the Visitor Center and purchased gift cards and received a VIP coupon book....some great saving coupons, spent $200 at Old Navy and they had a 25% off coupon! What a deal.
