Blue Chip Casino, Michigan City

My wife & I only paid for a room once in the past year, since then we've had a free room every visit. We usually stay once a month. The rooms are good, no complaints there. The casino itself has been pretty good to us. I hit a couple hundred jackpot on a nickel machine and my wife usually does well. Even if we lose a couple hundred bucks we still figure we break even after being comped a room & food. With our players points & coupons we rarely pay for dining. Nelson 24hr Deli is good - my favorite late night snacks are the Chicago dog and Nachos. The buffet is worth the money. My only complaint is they have Pepsi, not Coke - but that's just me. The employees have always been great to us, no complaints there. It's fun for us as long as we make it entertainment, not a moneymaker. The outlet mall is nearby and is great for kids shopping.

We stayed in the older building and it was a great place. Room was clean and well appointed. We used the pool and hot tubs and had a great time. The Casino had a number of specials and we ate at the buffet (breakfast) for 1/2 price.

It was too bright lit casino was empty felt like I was the only one playing they also closed down the table game early. slot card reader malfunction bill accepter broke I did not notice was any smoke smell as a shareholder unfortunately I will probably will not return

THE MACHINE PAYOUT IS TERRIBLE.WE VISITED THE FOUR WINDS AND HAD A MUCH MOR FUN AND LUCK DOWN THE ROAD.I HAVE BEEN VISITING BLUE CHIP FOR 10 YEARS NOW AND THEY WERE NOT GOOD AT PAYING OUT THEN OR NOW!!!!!

The casino slots tend to pay better than the other two casinos we went to while on our trip,. The rooms in the spa tower were great, clean and well appointed for the price. I would recommend to anyone, The staff was very eager to please and the food was exqisite.

The casino was nice itself, but as far as the rooms, i got stuck in one of the "Smoking" rooms and it was nasty! It smelt like they rubbed the ashes into the floor & sheet! All in all, it was not the best place in the world, and I don't think I would go back, I would rather go to Detroit, because even their, when we stayed, we had to stay in a smoking room but you would have never guessed anyone had EVER smoked in their... just freaken nasty... I wouldnt even lie in the bed... & took like six showers because it felt so DIRTY in their! Alas, the hot tub as nice, as well as places to eat.

The casino was very nice. My husband and I had the best time ,we came for his birthday and will be there in two weeks for my birthday. The rooms were nice and spacious, the service was awesome. We had a great experience, did not want to leave.

Recently retired and traveling around visiting different casinos in W@isconsin Michigan, and Indiana for now a well as a few trips to Vegas. Got to tell you that you can't beat thiws place for the staff as well as the comps and the atmosphere. Booked 2 days and endedf up staying 3. Never had to pay for food the entire time we were there because of the great comps. Rooms were clean and bright. Loved the deli for that all night atmosphere. Great burgers. Plan on going back soon. Thanks for a great experience.

i spent two nights there had a great time ,food in cafe was very good will go back .

The rooms in the new tower were nice looking but had cheap bed linens and furniture and the staff at the front desk was just rude. We walked up at 3:15 to get our room and they said it wasn't ready (check in is suppose to be at 3) and when I asked about this the guy said "well check in has only been open for 15 minutes". I have never been treated that way in any hotel I have stayed at. The casino is horrible. The smoke just lingers around and winning seems to be impossible. I can't beleive the security everywhere too. Makes you feel like you are in some sort of casino prison. I will never go again. Drive 15 more minutes and go to Four Winds in Michigan.
