I definately had a wonderful expierence there. I had an hour and a half massage and the lady was wonderful. I am going back to her and am also going to get my husband a massage too. It was definately worth the time and money.

Go somewhere else

I used to go to this salon regularly. Why did I put up with snobby behavior when my hair looked worse when I left, so I tried Bliss even worse. Very unprofessional, my appt was cancelled without my knowledge, didn't find out until day before, then I had to work around them. That's not the way to treat paying clients. Try some place other than these 2!!

Great Services

I have been a regular customer of the West Lafayette salon for almost two years now. I go back because of the consistency of my hairdresser as well as her level of service. The stylists are very willing to talk to you about your hair, consult on the best look for your face, lifestyle, and hair type. My stylist is very friendly and willing to recommend the a skin specialist and nail technician that would work with me before my upcoming wedding. I do agree with other reviewers that this salon is snobby, slightly overpriced, and frequently runs behind schedule. Most of the attitude seems to come from the reception desk more than the stylists. Just my opinion.

snotty girls

It seemed like a nice place. The stylist was nice, the cut good. Then while I was talking to the stylist I turned and saw the shampoo girl rolling her eyes. Yes they are young and mostly pretty, but WHY do they have to be snotty to customers who are PAYING A LOT of money for services? I prefer men stylists for that reason. Hate the stuck up attitude.And this place is very "pretend-nice" but its fake, and really expensive with the sales job they give you for extras. Beware,you'll drop 80 or 100 $$, and then they probably critique you as soon as you are out the door (or sooner).

Terrible at EVERYTHING

I went to this salon once and have not returned. I arrived ten minutes early to my appointment and nobody came to the desk to greet me and see what I was there for. Finally after five minutes past my appointment time I got someone's attention and she asked if I had an appointment which of course I did. Then, the stylist finally came over after another ten minutes. She did not even say hello to me let alone make any conversation through the whole experience. After my hair was done I actually felt uglier. The cut was just plain bad. I think I had it better when I was ten years old going to good old Cost Cutters. Since then I have stuck with waiting until I return home to go to my regular salon and stylist. This place is just plain BAD.

Over rated quality friendly service

First off I am a hairdresser. I have been for many years. But once you leave a shop you have to get your hair done some where. I have went to shops and I find them to be only about the money, time and get you out. I realize you must make your money but on the other hand you are paying them for a service and they should get what they ask for, not what they think you should have. I visted Christina's and Company because of a friend of mine went there, plus a Sister In Law worked there and some niece went there. I found it to be quite unfriendly and not much greeting at the desk. I also found them to be very cold and I hated my hair each time I had it done. I never got what I asked for and I never ever look or felt the least bit attractive once the hair and perm was done. I asked to have my hair cut before wrapping and they just don't want to do that. I never got what I asked for. The last visit my hair was cut after the perm and it was cut so short I about died when I came home to try and do it. I called and told them and they basicly told me, sorry for you luck and bye bye. Well If a shop wants to keep customers they should at least try to keep them. This company could care less unless you are wealthy and rich and have designer clothes on and you are skinny. So I found this shop to be quite over priced for the quality of service I got. And I would never do that to any clinent that I had. They always got what they wanted not the other way around.

Terrible Rude Management!

I had been going here for around a year and 1/2. I received great hair cuts, style, and color. I was always treated nicely by my stylist. Everything changed after I purchased a blow dryer and round brush in one for approx. 42.00. This product was suggested to me, so I purchased it. I took the dryer out of the box and turned it on. It did not produce enough air to dry hair. I NEVER used it. I put it back in the package. I called on 1-3-07 to ask about returning it. I was told that product returns are not permitted. I was then put on hold and then told that a distributor would have to be contacted and it would be a few days before I would know if I could return it. The call ended. After thinking about this being total nonsense, especially since I spend 119-130.00 every 6 weeks plus tip for a cut and color. I called back. This time A salon manager named Amy got on the phone. I reminded Amy how much I spend there and how often I go there and that I always tip well. Amy informed me that she didn't care if I spent 2.00 or 2,000.00 that the product I bought was a special order, it was NOT. Amy informed me that I was never forced to purchase this product. Amy told me the product was NOT a dryer. This is odd since the box clearly stated it was a hair dryer and round brush in one. Amy continued to TELL me that I was going to listen to her. She would not allow me to explain anything. The phone call ended. Amy then called me back a short time later. I told Amy that the last time I was there red hair dye got all over my blouse, and the assistant washing my hair burnt me with hot water. I was going to discuss this with my stylist during my next appt. Amy never addressed this and told me I had to listen to her. Amy said she would refund my money in cash for the product. Amy also told me that I had to respect her and all employees at the salon. I could not believe the way this woman chose to speak to me. She treated me as if I were some piece of trash that should be thankful to use their services. I went with my husband as to have a witness and returned the dryer. My husband also canceled my 2 upcoming appointments. We were treated very coldly when we returned the product. This salon does not back up their products, they don't accept returns and get hostile if a regular client asks to return a product. I will not be back. The assistant to my stylist ruined my blouse with red hair dye, burnt me when washing the color out of my hair, and got me wet with water while I was there on 12-28-06. The assistant that washed my color out did tell me she was sorry, but I had never been burnt until now. I was willing to over look that simply because my stylist was so good at knowing what I wanted. I will not over look the way I was treated on this day by the management and front desk staff. BEWARE! The front desk and management treats you as if you OWE them something. I pay their salary. I expect a salon to back it's product, this salon doesn't back anything they sell. On another note, I have never been given a receipt for any purchases I ever made. I find that odd. Shauna

I'll go back.

I'll go back to the West Lafayette location. I had attended the Lafayette location two times and was very unhappy with the way things went. The girl that did my hair was very nice but very unorganized and behind on her appointments. She started on me a half hour late...at both appointments. Did not like the Lafayette location.

Better Salons in Town

I called to have an appoinment for me and a friend, but the receptionist couldn't figure out it was for two different people until the third time I told her. When I inquired about how much the highlighting would cost, I was charged more than what was quoted. Even though I arrived a few minutes early, I was kept waiting 15-20 minutes after my appointment before I finally got back into the chair. The colorist then took another 15 minutes to mix the dye and when she was finally done, the highlights weren't very noticible. I wasn't impressed and thought $65 was too much for a two hour highlight, when I've gotten cheaper, faster, and better results from other salons. I don't think I will be going back again.

i know this site is for christinas, but i have been to the new salon Bliss which is located on Rome Drive(between Culvers and Target). It was a great relaxation and everyone was so nice there. id efinitely would recommend it to those of you that have had problems with Christinas in the past.
