Right from the start when walking in the front desk was absolutly amazing, they were beautiful and very professional and very polite. I had an amazing experience with my hairdresser brooke and other girls from all other departments. I was very upset when reading all the bad reviews, if you go to this place you would think it was absolutely incredible. My hair looked great and i felt great when leaving that salon.
I have been here several times. I have a hard time getting color that I like. This place seemed to get it right. Unfortunately, it came at a price. 145.00 for color and cut on short hair. Not to mention a treatment for my hair was added without first asking me for an extra 20.00. The assistant always got color all over me and got my blouse soaking wet. I was told at every visit that there was some new product I needed because my hair was in bad condition. I was pressured all the time. The stylist was nice in a FAKE way, and always would gossip about the salon, not getting holidays off or paid and not making enough to afford new styling tools. The girls at the front desk were such snobs! They acted like I should appreciate if they even looked at me! You get a better pedicure in one of the nail shops without having to make an appointment and for much less. My feet were never soft after getting a pedicure. They also will not do exchanges or returns or any kind of credit on any of the products they sell. Should you question something or have issue with something, be it a service or a product that was pushed on you, you are quickly dismissed and told not to come back if you don't respect their opinion as always being correct. Do yourself a favor, find a nice local shop in town to get hair cuts and color, go to a local nail shop for a pedicure / manicure, and you can easily get a better massage elsewhere. Oh, and the girls at the front, talk about you, often as you are leaving and you can hear them making remarks about your dress, hair, make up, jewelty and so on. Just saw Jamie W at one of the local shops getting her nails done and what was she doing? Talking bad about Christina and Company! What a joke! She was putting down Christina's nail techs, and Jamie W works there! She said they don't get the dead skin off of her feet either.
I was a first time customer at this salon and I dont think I will go back any time soon! I went in for a haircut and color and the guy who did it did an awful job! I have bleach spots and the color just looks disgusting. My hair is fried and the cut is okay but its not exactly what I wanted. I said I wanted highlights and lowlights, well I got that but it def. did not turn out the way I wanted! This guy was overly confident and very pushy on products and services. You could tell all he was out for was money. I felt pressured to buy things and was not treated with respect! It was definitely not worth my time and money.
The eastside salon in my opinion is outdated and ugly. Can we say 1980's?! :) I find that with many Christina & Company stylist they have big ego's for absolutely nothing. One manager is an alcoholic. The other one is just psychotic. Christina has no idea what to do with herself. The stylist think they are Gods gift to earth. They are rude, stuck-up, and full of their "talent". I am sure you could get better service at a private salon.
I went for a brazilian waxing and was so nervous! Well when I got there my lady was soo nice and explained everything so well. It seemed like her only job was to make me feel comfortable and make sure I was happy. I was a little iffy on the price, it's $60, but it was worth every penny!!! Having people actually care about me is worth it, I wasnt pressured to buy anything and the front desk was so nice and asked me if I wanted juice. A++
I was a first time customer to Christina's, looking for a new hair dresser. I asked for the colors I usually get in my hair. The hair dresser was obviously not trained well, for she put a horrible bright red in my hair. Not wanting to be rude, I went with it thinking it would fade. It sure did, right into pink. When I tried to get a refund or for them to fix it, I was treated like common trash. They were not helpful and told me it was my fault. I have never experienced this in a salon before. This is not a place to try out. If they screw up your hair they won't fix it.
The stylists are rude and stuck up. They really don't seem to follow instructions well, even when given a picture they kind of look at it and think,...."how did they do that"? And if you want a suggestion from them (thinking that they know what kinds of styles fit your face type) -FORGET ABOUT IT!! It's the environment you pay for....not the stylists!
I have been going to this salon regulary for a few months now and I have had the chance to have many services done. I find the atmosphere to be very relaxing and inviting and everyone is very friendly. Its not a fake friendly either, it is genuine. The front desk girls are so nice and they always have time for you even when the phones are ringing like crazy. My stylist that I see always has a smile on her face and really knows her stuff! I would recommend this salon to anyone, men or women. I don't quite understand some of these reviews. I've never had a bad experience here. I think if you have a generally negative attitude towards things then you probably won't like any salon you go to. So I would suggest that you go see for yourself what the salon is all about before judging on random people's reviews.
I go to christina and company in lafayette every few months or so.Nancy does my hair and does a fantastic job although I feel pressured to buy products the entire time. The girls at the front desk are not friendly at all.I was about 20 min early for my hair color and had to wait and extra 15 min. I work in guest services and know how important it is to treat people with respect and it is a shame that the snobby girls are giving the place a bad name. They act as though its an inconvience to give you help or to be nice. Its about time that they realise that their JOB is to pamper and take care of their guests. Why would they think they are better than everybody else ....they do hair? Wow congrats you went to trade school and are wearing fancy clothes! In life what you wear doesnt mean anything its how you treat people and what you leave behind. So instead of leaving people unhappy and frustrated try being nice next time.. they .Without customers you dont have a business. If you dont have a business you DONT GET PAID!Crazy concept huh?I probably wont be back any time soon.
I have been to both Christina's Spas many times. I have seen most of the people doing their work while i was getting mine done. The receptionists have always been friendly and willing to help with any problems or questions i might ask, even when they are swarming with customers or people walking in. They deal with everybody in the salon, and quite frankly, customers are very rude to them. They are always nice even to the people who are screaming and cussing at them. I have only heard one of them ask somebody to stop cussing and screaming [[in a very nice and professional manner]] because i personally believe the lady was acting crazy. The people who work there are amazing, and are very kind. I have seen people be rude to them and they have kept a professional attitude, and never said anything about somebody after they left. Some people need to realize that they are doing their best. Nobody is perfect, either are you. Yes some of the services can be a little pricey, but it is def. worth it. People need to realize that it is not the stylists fault they are running late, it is the clients before them. If the client decides to change what their appt was for, it is normally for something that takes longer. Whoever said that they talked to a manager named Amy is wrong, because there is no manager named Amy, you were probably somewhere else. if you were not completely satisfied, i encourage you to go again, and I am sure you will be treated with the same respect as I was. And if you are reading this to form an opinion on weather or not you should go, i ask that you go and make your own opinion. I love this place!
