I went to the 26 location and my sister had gone there about 2 months before me and said I had to go get my hair done by Karen, so today I went in and had Karen do my hair. She was unbelievable! She was so sweet and so down to earth she made me feel sexy again for the first time in years and wasn't a pushy salesman. She coached me through some tips and tricks for my very long and thick hair and I will be seeing her again! She listened to what I wanted and wasn't stuck up or irritated like the rest of the reviews describe the staff. The employees at the front desk offered me a beverage when I walked in and were very friendly as well. :)
Want to schedule a bridal party but have an early wedding? They will not deviate from their standard hours to accommodate a bride? How is this even possible, you want to loose $500 MINIMUM? Rude lady said they will not open before 8 on Sat. and 9 on Sunday, said it about 3 times....WORTHLESS!
Called to schedule a spa day with my daughter and was told only a "package coordnator" could do this and she would have to call me back. You guessed it she never called me. This was the West Lafayette location.
I went in for a eyebrow wax and walked to front desk with a smile and hello. The receptionist looked very annoyed and didn't want to be bothered. Her tone was very short and didn't even attempt to be friendly. The eyebrow wax was good but esthetician kept conversation to absolute minimum. The same receptionist took my payment and acted the same which was that I was a total nuisance almost hateful really. I was completely shocked. I don't know how they stay in business if everyone who works there has that attitude. You would think the receptionists who work there would greet the customers and represent the company in a friendly manner but that is far from the case. I wish I didn't have a giftcard for their company because I do not want to go back.
when i called in they were very rude at the west lafayette side! They sounded like they were just inconvienienced by my phone call! They were not helpfull at all and they were very rude and sounded like they didnt care because they already had my money from my gift certificate!
I have been to Christinas and experienced similarities to those of others that have expressed their opinions. It had been a cycle between good and bad experiences. Mainly bad! However, there are other places to go and even new businesses opening in our town. Do yourself a favor and try InStyle Studio in Lafayette. I believe you will find good in what you are finding bad at your current salon.
From the moment I walked in and to the moment I left, it was a wonderful experience. The receptionists are all nice and friendly and the employees go out of their way to make sure you get what you need. The girl that does my hair does an awesome job every time and I look forward to going here just to relax and get away from the stresses of life. I definitely recommend this salon to everyone, its a must try!
I received a gift card for "Christina's" Christmas 2008. I saved it to use to get my nails done. I called Christina's to make sure there was still a balance on it and much to my surprise, the lady told me there was NOT. It was purchased Dec '08 and someone, somehow got my card number and used it December 28, 2008. HHmmm... Wonder who has access to the card numbers and client information?? It showed used under my name but it wasn't me.
I went to Christina's on 26 for the first time two days ago. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a salon. The girl who was doing my hair was pulling it so hard while she blowdried it that she nearly pulled me into the next seat the entire time, even after my protests that it was really hurting. My scalp was actually bleeding in a few places. Another stylist actually had to ask me if I was okay. The cut I received was less than stellar, and I had to trim it myself to even it out when I got home. In addition, the stylist I had was also less than friendly. From the shampoo to the cut to the blowdry it took only twenty-five minutes, and I was obviously being rushed by the stylist. It was an absolutely terrible experience. Really a complete nightmare.
The salon is also very dirty and dingy, and the staff were utterly unprofessional. I will NEVER go back, and I would advise others not to, either. I could receive a better and more gentle cut from my two-year-old if I handed him safety scissors and told him to hack away.
My husband and I received a gift certificate for a couples massage and I will admit my husband was nervous. He s a GUY and didnt want to be fluffed up...When we went in for the service the front desk was friendly and our therapists took us back to a private room with a fireplace and soft music. How romantic! The ladies let us get prepared and returned asking questions about our needs and our expectations of the treatment. My husband has had shoulder surgery and asked the petite massage therapist to work that area well. We both at the end were relaxed and that little girl sure fooled my husband she really was able to relieve the pain in his shoulder and now he is asking when we are going back! Yay for me! Thanks to the ladies for helping me get back to Christinas more by turning our experience into a get away we can easily return to!
