More show for your dough...

New America Theater is one of the most unique theater experiences I have had. I have seen six performances at NAT now, most recently “The Guys,” and I have been nothing but pleased with everything; the shows, the people and definitely the theater itself. The venue is quite small with a sort of "U" shaped seating area and offers an amazing seat no matter where you are. Even if you sit in the back rows, you still feel right in the middle of the action due to the wonderful use of the space. Many of the productions I have seen at NAT have had actors moving up and down the isles as well as using the many different stage exit options optimizing the proximity to the audience. One of the other fun things about this theater is the accessibility to the actors and the artistic director. Between talk back performances and just hanging around after the shows, it is very easy to meet the talented group of people NAT utilizes. And when you consider the cost, it is just an incredible deal. With tickets costing no more than $35, depending on the type of performance, and free parking, how can you go wrong? Even if you are looking to get dinner before or drinks after a performance, NAT is right next door to Octane, one of my favorite places to get a drink anywhere, and is across the sidewalk from Paragon. It is a one-stop shop for dinner and a show. I would highly recommend seeing a production at this theater. Really, do it. You will not be disappointed.
