Oak Brook Golf Club is one of the best public courses in the Chicago area! They treated our group very well! O.B.G.C has Bent Grass Fairways, Greens and grass driving range/teaching area! The staff is the best in the Midwest with top teaching Professionals. I really liked the pro shop and the resturant. The course was awesome. The back nine amazing, hole number 14 was just breath taking. I can't wait to go back again.

I recently played this course, but only the first 9. The course was nicely manicured and the greens were well maintained. The course played long and the disasters were plenty. As average players playing golf, our foursome was nothing more than the norm off shots. But the problem was that we were constantly rushed and disrupted by the course marshall because of our "slow play". I choose to walk when I play so i feel I am earning my shots, Apparently, my money was not worth any as much as the management showed. The group of "better" players behind us also got into it with us telling us to skip the next hole. Apparently, the management at this "public" course did not show any competence and continued to push us through. Its a shame that us walking was an issue as it is every god given right for any golfer to walk. Shame on Oak Brook Golf Course for breaking this law.
