River Cruises On the Twilight, Galena

My husband and I boarded for a two day trip, not realizing that we would be recieving everything and them some as offered on their website. The crew was wonderful, the food was great and the entertainment was unexpectedly, nostalgically good. My husband saw fish on the menu for lunch and with two hours notice, the chef gave him a ham steak instead of talapia and rice pilaf, which was very good! Watching the river go by, viewing eagles nests, which the captain pointed out and alllowing my husband to sit and chat in the pilot house most of the day each day made the vacation. Great food, entertainment and the all inclusive nature of this trip made it well worth the low price. From the time you give them your bags, until they give them back at teh end of your trip, you will be totally relaxed.

The trip was excellent. The food was awesome and we ate a lot. The workers on the boat were nice, funny and helpful! The views and the narration were spectacular. I saw white pelicans, cormorants, great blue herons, seagulls, egrets and geese all living happily together on an island. We also saw a lot of bald eagles. I only have good things to say about this trip and I would do it again!

Just finished a two day trip on the Twilight Riverboat: from LeClaire to Dubuque, Iowa. The trip took 10 hours which were spent enjoying WONDERFUL food, entertainment and the incomparable beauty of the river and river towns along the way. We had riverview rooms at the luxurious Grand Harbor Resort for the night and reboarded the ship this morning for the return trip. Nests of eagles, herons, egrits along the way. Flew a kite off the back of the ship. Sat in the wheelhouse and watched the pilot. All service was prompt and every detail attended to. We WILL repeat this trip....it was genuinely incredible.
