Robert Wadlow Statue, Alton

My 7 year old grandson from Kansas City read about Robert Wadlow and was enthralled with his story. As a surprise, we took him to see the statute and he was so excited. He liked comparing his shoes with Robert's shoes and his height to Robert. He also loved Robert's chair. Pictures of the visit were taken to school for sharing. The setting for this site is very nice and well-maintained. The marker that tells Robert's story behind the statute adds a lot to the presentation. The organizations that contributed to building this park and statute are commended and should be proud of the efforts they undertook to honor this man. It adds a lot to the Alton community. It also brought a lot of joy to a small boy and his family. Thank you!
