Shoe Collector Goes Wild!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/21/09
I love this shoe store! I always leave with at least three bags full of shoes... The service has all been excellent and the owners are dear and wonderful people ...In response to Gucci?... why are you so concerned with the price of jackets yet disappointed to find NO GUCCI!... Goodness... you'd be in deep water there... you better stick to the cheaper knock-off stores up near Atlanta where the shoppers don't seem to appreciate quality when they find it...!

ATLANTA REPEAT SHOPPER
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/29/09
Responding to: selection lacking, waste of time, Gucci? I grew up in Lowndes Co., bought my first Country Cobbler shoes when Mr. Williams first opened CC on Patterson St. downtown, late 50's or early 60's. My family re-located to Cobb Co. in 1969 from out of state. Since that time I have bought the majority of my shoes from CC on our many trips over the years. They do have and have always had a wide variety of styles, all the top name brands, etc. I for one appreciate the personal attention. Hard to find that in MetroAtlanta.

Usual selection lacking...

To some degree they have a lot of sales people watching you as you shop, but that staff comes in handy when they're busy. It might seem a little much when there are only a couple customers in the store, but it sure seems better than trying to limp by with a skeleton crew. The most concern for me is that I don't see their inventory changing....probably a facet of the existing inventory not "turning". The last few times at The Country Cobbler, the styles and choices hadn't changed much at all. Inventory takes money and you have to sell what you already have in stock. Either their purchasing "missed" with their most recent selections, or business is much slower in this economy ---- probably a little of both.

a waste of time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/09
i have been to this shoe store 3 x's over a yr time and each time i pick out several pairs of shoes, only to be told they have none in my size (7).........but they are always willing to "order" me any in my size. I guess they keep their inventory down and my opinion is the same too.

Gucci? Oh wait...IT'S VALDOSTA
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/08/09
The Country Cobbler is known to carry jackets from the North Face and is the only place in the are a to purchase them. I knew I was in trouble from the moment I saw the BMW 328i's and the Mercedes C's...the cheapest offerings from both lux brands, usually driven by people who just want the name. I entered the store and got that instant snooty vibe as if I had walked into a Gucci, or other high end store. Upon browsing the stock of North Face, I noticed it was all marked at full retail. Up towards Atlanta where I am from its not odd at all to catch a sale on these items. I kindly asked an older woman if the jackets ever went on sale. She sort of put her nose up and declared "no" in a snooty way. I could not stop laughing all the way to my car. Can you say ghetto fabulous hah! The store is way over priced, drive a few extra miles and find a less "podunk" place, but dont tell them its "podunk" they think its Saks Fifth.

Fantastic Professional Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/08
This is the only shoe store I have been in for literally decades where the staff actually knows how to fit a shoe to my narrow foot! The quality of the brands they carry is top notch, the sale prices are great and the service is unsurpassed. The best shoe store in the South! Thank you for the TLC!

The Best Little Shoe Store in South Georgia
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/04/08
Country Cobbler has the best quality shoes of any store that I shop. They also have competent, courteous sales staff who are eager to help you find the shoes that are best for you. Granted some of the college student employees are not as knowledgeable as the seasoned employees. But we all have to start somewhere, don't we? Another plus for Country Cobbler is there lay-away program which helps if money is a little short this month. Having had a great deal of problems with my feet and then several hip surgeries, I needed help finding some shoes. That help was found at COuntry Cobbler without having shoes that were too "old" looking for me. I highly recommend Country Cobbler to you.

They have rather decent prices on a good selection of high quality shoes and a group of very knowledgeable and helpful staff to serve you.

Amazing!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/07
I loved Country Cobbler because the employees were so attentive and nice. I got some of the best service that I have ever gotten here, and I can't wait to go back (but my husband sure can)! I almost forgot to mention the quality of their shoes, I have bought the majority of my favorite shoes there!

Not all it is cracked up to be
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/05/06
This store is deemed some type of quality shoe store....thats putting it mildly not only is it an overpriced shoe store but it is about the crummiest quality. I recently spent 100 dollars on shoes and I will never return. Also they do stare at your every move. I was very uncomfortable!!! Go take some customer service training sales staff!!! I will never return to this overpriced shoe store. Their sales prices are too steep sale means 50% over cost. A total rip off....
