Dangerous go karts!
By A Yahoo Contributor, 9/21/11
I went last weekend with a few friends..and personally had a terrible experience. The go karts are dangerous. The way it was ran was stupid. When you pull in at the end to get off your go kart people are supposed to slow down, because if not you will bump into the other karts. Well I was the second kart and a young boy ran full speed into me at full speed. It hurt really bad! Now I few days later I have VERY bad bruises all over my body. I am not being sarcastic at all. I wanted people to be aware that you might get hurt. I would not have written this review had they not been as bad as I'm saying. So ride with caution but I will never get on one again because of my scary experience. I just want y'all to be aware. The people that work there could change this if they had people slowing the karts down, but this was not the case. Just be careful.
Kids pretty much run the place and you get that I do not want to be here attitude. Lines are really long but thats ok. great video games inside. Golf course was kaotic with kids and not really clean kept. prices are not bad. Maybe its more the local community.
The only thing that I liked about this GA location, was the Grand Prix cars that we made a special detour for on our vacation.
There were very few people here during the time that we were there (10 people tops) and it appeared that there were only 3 employees for 5 or so attractions. We paid a premium (over other cart tracks) to drive the Grand Prix Cars (Timed laps, faster and more responsive cars) and had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to man the track. We asked for someone to come to the track, but that still took about 10 minutes to happen. When employees arrived, there was no sense of urgency and a few did not seem very friendly or happy to be working.
If you go on a day when there is more activity, then you might have a better time, but do not go otherwise. As this is all that we wanted to do, this is the only thing that the review is written about.
A place kids would love, but adults beware. 4 of us decided to go there on a Saturday night to play mini golf. There were children and adults all over the place who didn't have one clue about the etiquette of the game or how to even play it for that matter. We experienced people walking on the green as we were playing, a kid coming over and picking up one of our balls that was in play, a young girl and her father playing on our hole while we were still playing, kids running around all over the place. It was a chaotic mess. Additionally, the course wasn't kept up well. There were lots of leaves, pine straw and other stuff on the green of every hole. The holes were very shallow as well. We will never go back there again.
I think that Malibu is a great place to hang with your friends because there are lots of fun rides. The bumper cars and the water guns are time consuming and are good to play with a group of friends. There are also arcade games to play inside. I personally think that the price ranges are really great.
I've never been to Atlanta and because of Malibu I don't know if I will come back! The employee's attitude was terrible at the go-cart track and we had to wait 45 minutes to get to use them with not many people waiting. The only reason there was even a little bit of a line was because we had to wait so long. Basically we wasted our afternoon.
I thought that this place would be like a fin zone in orlando fl. I was dissapointed to see that there was only one go cart track and you had to pay more fo the big track.. I would recommend this for kids but if your looking for something to keep you going this would nit be a good place for you.
Had a great time. Definitely somewhere I will return so that I can take advantage of the bumper cars on the water. If you do not cash in your points from playing the games, you can save them until you reach the number of points that you want for your prize. Good price for tokens. I got over 20 for just $10. Can't beat that.
