An upscale affair with a touch of nostalgia can be found at the Grand!

I have loved every event that I have gone to at the Grand Opera House. The nostalgic feeling that I get when I walk in causes my mind to drift back to my teenage years and the many times I met friends there (at the Grand Theater) for a Friday night movie. And now, since it has been so beautifully restored, it is a showcase of elegance. I am so proud to be able to show it to out-of-town guests and brag on all the many fine performances that are held there. The Grand Opera house truly adds a special touch to Macon!!

Enjoying an evening in Macon

We went to see "A Fiddler on a Roof" which was playing for a couple of nights recently. Although the seating arrangements were a little cramped, this was all but forgotten once the lights went down for the first act. The production went off superbly, and the quaintness of the theater seemed to enhance the whole experience. This is the perfect-size theater for this town, and whether just paasing through Macon or calling this place your home, I recommend stepping out one evening and experiencing "The Grand!"
