Hollywood Connections and Ritz 10 is a great.! :)
By Kelsi, 02/05/10
Hollywood is a great place for your kids! although no the workers are not responsible of your children. the workers are only responsible for their ride. And at the ritz 10 they do theather checks every hour and the bathrooms are always clean. :) They clean the teathers very good.! and it's a really great place to watch a movie. although when their are teens in the back row doing stuff you should tell someone not just let them do it. and they cant not let teens in their by themself. anyways it's a great place to go.!!! :) :) :) and very friendly and they have great customer service and it's always clean with great popcorn. a little expensive but it's worth it. It's Amazing.!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Technology or a Human Being?
By Misha, 02/03/10
For the last hour, I have been trying to get in touch with a human being to book a party for my soon to be 4 year old. After listening to directions and following the prompts, I get a disconnect signal. Over and over again, I have gotten recordings. At this point, I am reconsidering having the party @ Monkey Joe's, where I have been able to speak to a Customer Service Agent that is a real person. Technology was not created to block communication but to enhance it. Managers, PLEASE find a way to conduct business better for your community. What sense does it make to provide a service that is "sorry." Progress is hard to make if you pretend to be nonexistent. Just out of curiosity? What makes you all better than Monkey Joe's and why should I spend money at a place where I can't even get a human being on the other end? Do tell!

This place is awful...no adult supervision.
By Stephanie, 12/12/09
I've had several issues with this place. The most recent one being the fact that there are no adults in the place. Recently I was at a movie with my nine year old where there were other kids in the same theater. There were two teenagers on the back row alone. For the whole movie they were on the floor. One quess as to what they were up to. Not once did an attendent come in to check the theater. Wait, there was an employee sitting down front eating a plate of take out food. Must be nice to work in a place that has no rules. My point is, there is no adult supervision what-so-ever!! What if there was some kind of emergency issue in the building...wonder how well the teens running the place would handle it ???

Great Place!
By Cheryl, 08/18/09
Hollywood connections is a wonderful place to take the kids the faculty and staff are extreamly nice, me and my family ate in the diner and i must say that i have not ate in a place with such a fun staff, the moment i walked in a waitress of the name Brittney came and sat us down, with a big smile and seemed to love her job, she was a very fun and entertaining server. I would defently go back to Hollywood again.

Not Such A Great Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/09
When I was younger Hollywood Connections was one of the most fun places to hang out and was a fairly nice facility. Now a few years later, ever though there are attractions that appeal to my age group, I do not enjoy visting this place. Half of the attractions and games are broken and I no longer feel that it is worth the money to visit.

Disappointment after reading reviews
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/09
I live 45 minutes from Hollywood Connection and I have taken my grandchildren several times over the last 3 or 4 years. We have always enjoyed it. I got online to find out about the movie times and was reading where the child got lost and no one would help. As a grandparent with very young grandchildren, I realized this could happen to me. I realize there is always two sides to every story, but if it is true that no one would help find the child and the manager (on the phone) was rude and inconsiderate, I'm not sure I will go back there. Also, the review about the high school "booty" contest is sickening.

Great for Kids
By John, 05/18/09
Hollywood Connection is a very fun place to take children. It provides a movie theater mainly playing movies rated PG-13 or lower and a selection of different amusement rides to choose from. Althought the prices of the rides are kind of high, the movie theater, mini-golf, and skate area make it worth the money. There is also a restaurant inside to eat at as well as an arcade that offers prices for tickets. Overall, this is a great place to take the kids as long as you don't mind spending the money.

protect your child....never go there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/24/09
We disliked this place very much as it is very unsafe for your child. We took our children and niece to this facility and my child got lost, but slipping through the gate of one of the rides when we could not get into the gate to get her. When we asked for help to find her and to lock the doors to ensure that someone did not take her, we received no help. We begged and pleaded several employees to lock the doors and basically ignored us. No manager came to help us and we looked for her for over 20 minutes. It got to the point where we were screaming her name trying to find her. My husband screamed so loud and long that he lost his voice. Here is the topper of it all. I called back to speak to a manager about all of this and all the manager had to say to me was that it wasn't his fault that I can not watch my kid. I was not allowed to go into the playarea with her because I didn't have a pass yet, the ride attendee allowed her to slip out the side of the gate without our knowledge. We were standing directly in front of the ride waiting for her. I expalined that his employees were unwilling to lock the doors or help us look for our child, and again he was ignorant yet again stating that his employees are not there to babysit. I contacted the BBB and Carmike Cinemas Corporate office and district manager. Basically what I got from the DM is that they are going to by walkie talkies.....but what is that going to do when you have such ignorant, arrogant and lazy employees.

I LOVE HOLLYWOOD CONNECTIONS!
By Niki Rivers, 04/26/08
I am one of the many devoted customers of Hollywood Connection's Xanadu Skate Center. I have been going there ever since I was 5 years old. I am currently 14 going on 15 and I am more than happy to have the chance to tell other people about this wonderful place called Hollywood. At age 5 my mother introduced me to Xanadu Skate Center, where I first learned how to skate. After a few years passed, I was skating a lot, and I began to explore the rest of the complex. The workers were friendly and were always helping in any way they could. There are many things to do there as there was then. The amusement section of the building is like a big lobby area that is just for kids. The carousel is a lot of fun for the young kids because I see a lot of them everyday and that is the first thing they are eager to ride. There is a ferris wheel and between it and the carousel is the newest addition to Hollywood- Max Flight; it is a rollercoaster simulator that is a lot of fun at any age. Not too far behind that is the bumper cars and in nearer to the entrance of the building is the swings. to the right of it there is the play place, which is a big jungle gym and lets the parents rest while their tiny tot burns off some energy. Then, to the right of the play place is the train. It goes through part of the putt-putt course and is a great little attraction. Yes, There is putt-putt golf. For those who may not know, putt-putt golf is a minature version of golf that the whole family can enjoy. Between the train and the putt-putt golf is The Rock. It is a rock climbing wall but if u plan on climbing make sure you wear tennis shoes not sandals. On the opposite side of the building is the entrance to the movie theater also known as the Ritz 10 at Carmike. Next to the putt-putt golf there is a pair of double doors. This is the entrance to the skate center a place where you must know the meaning of the pharse "Skate At Your Own Risk" writen on the white and blue signs posted up around the skate rink. Near the exit of skate center there is a diner named Lieutinent's. They serve burgers, fries, nachos, soft drinks, and more all at a very reasonable price. Closer to the carousel is staircase that winds up to the arcade. This is a huge gameroom which I am more than positive anyone would have fun. There is a place just for teens ages 14-18 which is a club called the Backdoor. There is an entrance in the arcade that is currently not in use. The entrance is up a set of stairs outside the skate center on the side facing the CB&T Bank. I appreciate the time you took to read this review of the best family-fun around provided by Hollywood Connections.
