we emailed for the lunch & zip line tour the nite before we wanted to go recived back a email the same nite saying no problem i have to say the staff was the best i have seen the lunch was great.i am 47 years old and was a kid again. If you are thinking of doing a zip line this is where to go. i cant say enuff about the staff they made us feel safe and was very friendly and know what they are doing It was the best outing we have had in years

We had a blast riding the horses and the ziplines. We stayed in their cabin and it was great. I'm not sure where the other reviewer stayed but it was clean and the owners were great and very accommodating. My husband weighed 255 and he was able to go on the zipline and the horseback riding. We are definately going back,

My daughter and I went on a two hour horseback ride while my husband took our other two children zip lining. This was my daughter's first experience with a horse and our guide, Abby, was extremely knowledgeable and fun. The horses were gentle and the guide made my daughter comfortable enough to trot and she even asked for more. The rough terrain was easily managed by the experienced horses making it easy to enjoy to beautiful vistas all around us. My husband and children could not sing the praises enough of the staff on the zip line crew. They were a riot from start to finish and very safety conscious at all times. My ten-year-old son felt secure enough to do the last two lines upside down! All three children are already begging to go back and I know my husband and I would love to do it again. Word of caution, don’t plan to do a lot of walking around Helen after this. You may want to do this last on your list of things to do because you will be worn out, but happy.

The horse ride was HORRIBLE!!!! The horses are over ridden, tired, hungry!!! It took all the horses could do to get up the mountain. They acted up real bad. About 15 minutes in the ride, I almost walked my horse back to barn......really wish i had of. The ride was the longest hour and half I ever had. The horse threw my friend off, staff did not care at all. Guide couldn't control her own horse. WE definately WILL NOT GO BACK!!! It's all about MONEY not SAFETY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We didn't expect cabin to be new but did expect it to be maintained. Only thing good about cabin was jacuzzi. Moldy and old smell, light fixtures tore up and hanging. Nothing to start fire with and had to tote all wood in in the dark with flashlight. Coffee pot even moldy and broken. HORRIBLE experience!!!!!!!!! Towels smell like bug spray. Staff is NOT helpful nor friendly. Only fun part was zipline......it was FUN!! Caution, make sure you're way under weight limit due to weight they go by is after all gear is on!!! A fun friends weekend turned into DISASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our yearly family reunion was held in Helen, Ga. We asked several people for a recommendation on where the best place to ride. Everyone we asked recommended Sunburst Stables. We booked an hour and a half ride and we had the best time. The ride was shaded (thank goodness because it was 98 degrees) the horses were great and obviuosly well cared for. The guides were helpful and very accommodating. We went on a late afternoon ride and realized they had a zipline tour as well. We added that to our ride for a reduced price! It was a 2 hour tour that was truly 2 hrs .They have a zipline that goes through a cave entrance, along with several 1000 ft ziplines. I think the longest was over 1200 ft. We took our whole family (18 of us) all ages. It was the best surprise of the weekend. We really had a great time.

The staff was well trained and friendly. Wife and I (55&57) did the two hour horseback ride following the zip lines. I would give it a six star if I could. Can't say enough good things about the stables and the quality of the equipment and horses. Great place for families, singles, couples or anyone wanting to have a great time. We will definatly return.

This place is awesome!! The horses are so cute and so sweet, and are fun to ride!!! The ziplines are so fun they feel like your flying but the twilight zipline is super fun but a little scary. When you go to the summer camp its really fun when you go to the mini farm to see the donkeys goats and get to sleepover and watch a movie. I would go there any day! Btw. People who gave bad comments about falling off its said in the rulebook that its your own risk to go horseback riding but if your inexperenced ask the instructors for horses that dont freak out.

I have never ziplined in my life, and I'm almost 40 years young! The guides at Sunburst Stables were very knowledeable and patient, and they had a great sense of humor too....so I felt very comfortable. My 2 pre-teen daughters were with me, as were a group of friends, and we all had a great time!!! They had 5 ziplines, and they're building another one that will go through a cave. There were donkeys, including a newborn....and several other really cool animals there to enjoy. We will definitely recommend your place to our friends!

Took my 9yr old daughter for a 2 hr ride. Guides were great, scenery was great, and horses were great. We left at 10 am, still somewhat cool and horses were fresh. There was a 3" rain the night before, so the trails were muddy and slick. I am 6'2" and 210 lbs. My horse was very cautious. I am an experienced rider but have not riden in several years. My daughter has been taking lessons for the last 2 years. The guide did mention that the horses were sometimes taken out 2-3 times a day. I would think that in the Ga. heat and the mountain terrain could make for some cranky horses. They have miles of trails which would make it impossible to get every yellow jacket nest. But yes, they are there. We stopped for a few minutes to let some catch up. My daughters horse suddenly bolted and stumbled but recovered after a few yards. I saw the yellow jackets a few feet from where they were. I will definitely go back but limit the riding to morning and cooler temps.
