a great place to discover
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/2/07
we were just driving home to buford GA . We took a side road to see the sights and noticed this mill. I love pottery so we screetched to a halt , turned around and we were so excited . the waterfall is beautiful and it is so fun to feed the trout , not to mention the beautiful pottery. When we first went there , Mayhew was working there . We go back every chance we get . We shoot the hootch ( raft down the chattahootchie river ) when we go up there . Check it out !!! I met matt last time we were there . He is great !

the history , i grew up in this area, the actual mill was built by my greatgreat grandfather and kept up by his childern for years one of which was my grandmother {ethel frye } so growing up i heard all the stories about my great aunt leta churnin buttern on the steps of the old general store across the street from the mill it has been turned into a home now but if u pick up a book at the potter u can read and see about it all one of my grandmothers best stories was about the time papa watts told her and the other children that they could have a dance at the mill if they helped finish layin the floor at a certian time this was one of mama fryes fondest memories .... knowing the history standing in the mill these days u can still feel the spirit of the times its just a real good for the soul kinda place, id recomend a visit from any travelers in the area. thanks dusty l frye
