What a JOKE!!!
By Amy, 12/05/09
I'm embarrassed to admit this but I actually paid $20 for 4 of us to walk into a petting farm, where the animals were in stalls with big signs that said, "Do not pet, I bite!" ha! I'm serious! It's true. We got a fairly decent view of a rabbit in a crate and we did get to pet the nose of a deer. Nothing else was available. We then paid $5 for my daughter to do a pony ride around a circle that was 20 feet in circumference at most for about 2 minutes even though there were no other patrons in sight! We did NOT pay the $5 each to play on the playground or to ride the "train" that is actually a golf cart in disguise! (Still not kidding!) We trudged all over the muddy farm, with the saw in tow, and with our 2 kids (one is a toddler) in tow trying to find a well shaped interesting tree that was not the same Fraser fir you can buy at home depot! (It was the first weekend in December!) We finally gave it up as a bad job and came 2 hours home to Atlanta with no tree. Next year I will do a lot better research before we set off on our countryside tree hunting expedition! Don't bother with this place!

Was just okay...

Likes: very friendly staff, fun marshmallow roasting, great maze for the kids to go through Dislikes: the trees were actually not as high of quality - limited varieties and they looked less healthy than they should have been. The "train" (breathed in smog from gasoline the whole ride, kids got off coughing and holding heads in shirts) and "slide" left a lot to be desired, as did the petting farm. There was nothing to pet and little to see. Pony rides - two ponies and one was off to the side the whole time. One small circle was made and the trun was over. (PS - Parents have to buy activity bracelets of tickets to accompany children under 11 (I think) on all of the activities. $10/adult, $12/kid. Overall, we spent $50 there to not come home with a tree and not really want to come back. We went to Holly Hills Farm (very close to this place) and were much happier with the trees in every way. Still get to cut them down and still get friendly and caring help!
