Chehaw Wild Animal Park

This place is a great little zoo to go to. We LOVED IT. We have already made plans to go again. Not to big like Atlanta and yet you feel like you went to Atlanta

We loved it!! Our boys had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave! We didn't either! The train conductor was so nice, he let our boys sit in the conductor's seat to have a photo taken. The lady @ the front entrance was superb and so was the gentleman at the concession stand! Was nice to get away for a day from the city life. The animals are well taken care of, close enough to get excellent photos and just a relaxing atmosphere! We're excited about going back for the Christmas celebration and even the times after that! Thank you for giving us a wonderful park to visit!

As someone who was born and raised in Albany, I have went to the Parks of Chehaw close to 100 times through-out the years. Going from just a little zoo, to what it is not, is truely amazing. While it may not be as big as the Atlanta Zoo, I enjoy it much more, simply because of the atmosphere of the park. Instead of walking on nothing but cement, you get the feeling of an actual nature trail, as you walk through the zoo on dirt paths, with trees on either side of you, with the possibility of seeing real Georgia wildlife roaming through-out the park, as well as the ones inside the cages. I make sure that I visit Chehaw whenever I'm in town.

This is a great family place, great zoo, great childrens play park, and wonderful camping. The best in South GA for families! South GA weather has complied with camping there. The Park Rangers are always on guard and people feel safe when camping. It is a nice, quiet, peaceful, place. We will definitely go again!

Not to many exotic animals. Need giraffes or elephants, lions, tigers, etc...
