JK Arabian Stables, Tallahassee

I have visited J&K Arabian Stables at least a dozen times, and each time, the experience gets better and better. Both Mr. Julius and Mrs. Kay are both incredibly sweet, good-natured people (regardless of what another user has posted on this page), who care very deeply about their animals, and their patrons: they have gone out of their way to make my family and me feel like a part of their own each and every time we visit, and I cannot wait until I go out there this Saturday. I recommend J&K Arabian Stables to anyone in the Tallahassee area, whether you're riding for the first time or the thousand-and-first, J&K is THE place to go for horseback riding.

It would have been a perfect horseback riding experience if we just rode up front by the husband. We spoke with two of the other couples afterward and they agreed that the wife was disrespectful toward all of us. She barks directions and speaks in a condescending tone. It is as if she tries to be nice but it isn't in her nature. We got stuck riding right by her. She insisted on riding between my girlfriend and I and then when I complained about this to her husband afterward she lied and said she tried to have us ride together. It really was an hour and a half of being disrespected. She was talking on the phone loudly for at least 30 minutes during the ride, which was annoying. She either has Bipolar Disorder or a personality disorder. The husband is nice. Poor guy!!!

My fiance and I went to the Stables one weekend and experienced a great time with the horses along with their owners. We were welcomed with much warmth and patience from the owners along with perfectly picked matches of horses for each of us. If you ever have some free time on your hands, grab your spouse (or some friends) and head up to these stables to experience a little bit of enjoyment and relaxation for a little while. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

From the youngest to the oldest, experienced to the most inexperienced, I've never seen such a diverse group of people ride together having fun and being safe! If you are ever in Tallahassee, FL, and you would like to see the Appalachicola National Forest from the inside out, JK Arabian Stables is the place to go!

Man, what's not to like about this experience and its wonderful proprietors. In a world full of chaos, pollution, and crime, there can be no overstatement of the extraordinary experience of riding these marvelous animals, being so expertly guided through both nature and the tenets of horsemanship. Kay and Julius are horsemen extraordinaire. They are qualified to lead your group with enthusiasm under the highest standards of safety. Fun? This was way beyond fun. Was it worth the time? Only if you think purloining a two-hour slice of heaven is worth the time to saddle up. Oh, sorry, I've got to go. I am on my way back to JK Arabian Stables!

J&K Stables were absolutely wonderful hosts as we celebrated graduations and anniversary milestones with our family. We rode for about two hours laughing and joking with each other, it seemed as if time stood still. We had so much fun as we traveled through the woods and the scenic National forest. My family members are from different parts of the U. S. and we have made special trips just to ride with J&K in Tallahassee. On each occasion we are treated with nothing but kindness and a real country western family atmosphere. There is fun for all, from novice rider to the most experienced, J&K can accommodate your needs.

It was a wonderful reunion! The trail ride was a great experience and the horses were well trained. Our party consisted of 15 family members and JK Arabian stables were able to accommodate the most experienced to the most inexperienced riders. The forest was open and the riding range was exciting! The owners were personable and patient. The best weekend ever! Thanks JK!!!

J and K Arabian Stables was an awesome experiance! My family and I ( all 20 of us) had a blast! The horses were calm, obedient, and very friendly. The staff was outstanding as well. They treat you like you are a part of their family. Even if you have NEVER ridden a horse before, the staff teach you instantly, and you become a "pro". Like I said before, J and K Arabian Stables was a wonderful experiance, and I'd love to go back because it feels just like home.

I have lived in Tallahassee since 2003, and this by far is the best thing that I have done since living here. The horses are great and well trained. JK provides a variety of horse sizes and skill levels. A ride consist of riding through a prairie, forest, and having the opportunity to let the horse go and ride through fields. It was WONDERFUL! Price is very reasonable and well worth it! Real stables, real horses, a real experience. Bring the kids, you and your family have to experience this for yourself.

My daughter signed up for a week-long session last summer, and really enjoyed the trail-riding experience. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and has a real passion for the horses.
