Yellow paper given out at Old Wooden School House
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/20/11
My 9-year-old daughter enjoyed the class trip tremendously. However, when she got home and showed me the yellow handout that is signed by the U.S. Dept. of the Interior, I was horrified at the spelling and punctuation on the back under the heading, "The Purpose of School"! Their word "tenements" should be "tenets". Their word "arrhythmic" should be "arithmetic". They did not put an apostrophe in the word "students" to show possession. What kind of an example is this for the fourth grade who has to take their FCAT Writing in March?
