A National Historic Landmark, this historic home is the oldest surviving Spanish Colonial structure in the area and one of the most studied and best documented old houses in the country. There are two museum located within the home that cover over 400 years of history of St. Augustine.
there were many cool facts about the house which make it an interesting place to visit, such as the way the spanish settlers lived as well as the british settlers, check it out, you wont be disappointed
Lovely, quiet place. Maybe a little off the beaten path, but well worth the stop. Tour guide very knowledgeable about house and St. Augustine in general. Very nice gift shop with impressive amount of local books.
The gardens were lovely, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. She explained the history of the house, those who lived in it, added on to it, and the use of some of the items inside. There is also a small museum attached.
