NO CENTER ISLE.. BECAUSE THE DOOR YOU ENTER INTO THE AUDITORIUM, USHERS ARE TRAINED TO DIRECT YOU OUT. IF THERE WAS A CENTER ISLE PEOPLE WOULD BE RUNNING ALL OVER. I KNOW THIS BECAUSE THE ALARM WENT OFF ACCIDENTALLY ONE EVENING, THE USHERS AND STAFF CLEARED THE AUDITORIUM ORDERALY WITHIN FIVE MINUTES. THE FIRE TRUCKS WERE THERE IN JUST MOMENTS. THE USHERS ARE THERE TO GUIDE YOU AND FEEL WELCOME. I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I WAS A VOLUNTEER FOR ELEVEN YEARS.

I have been to many performances in the Van Wezel theatre and every experience has been wonderful. I can't imagine anyone not appreciating the seats or atmosphere. What I really like about the theatre itself is the exiting arrangements. Instead of aisles that create dead space and the potential of slow moving crowds attempting to exit, It has convenient exits all along both sides.
