whatever the hell was in between those two pieces of pumpernickle bread made one of the best sandwiches I have ever had...I think they said it was crabmeat with cheese but it was delicious and I cannot duplicate it here at home....fun place ...good food and just a bit too far from Bradenton to make it a regular stop....move north please....Paul Schlacks
Manhattan isn't for everyone & If you've read the other reviews you realize that either you love it or you hate it. It can be loud & boisterous like N.Y.C. & the wait staff won't kiss up to you for the paultry little tip you will leave them but the food is TOP SHELF. This place really does have the best Burgers in town...The chicken wings are far better than Hooters & the waitresses are better looking & like to flirt. I'm going back to try the famous chicken pot pie. Don't get the Caeser but Do get the salad with the year date (was it the 1909 salad). Now that's how salids should be. The Bartenders make AWARD WINNING Martini's & just when you thought the art of conversation was dead, everyone at the bar talks to each other! Bon Appetite!
WE LOVE THE MANHATTAN BAR AND GRILL, MOST OF THE TIME. WE HAVE HAD OCCASIONAL PROBLEMS AND VOICED OUR OPINIONS TO NO AVAIL. I HAVE WRITTEN BEFORE TO POINT OUT AN ISSUE THAT COULD BE CORRECTED AND NEVER EVEN GOT AN ACKNOWLEMENT OF RECEIPT OF MY NOTE. IF YOU DON'T WANT CRITICIZM DON'T ASK FOR IT.
Steak fajita was served cold - turns out it was mistaken order and brought to our table for our consumption. Ceasar Salad had no dressing, no croutons and no cheese. After 15 minutes they corrected it by putting cheese on top and returning to table with cold chicken. Manager has absolutely no people skills and did not remedy the problem. Restaurant was packed and they were making money so too bad if the food is lousy. Life in Sarasota.
I had the famous Chicken Pot Pie, which was absolutely awesome, plentiful, and better than my mother used to make for us as children (which was a real favorite). Large chunks of chicken with dente veggies and superb pastry. I also had the martini special of the day which was to die for; I could have had 5 of them!!
Service was great, atmosphere was great, and we ate outside on a beautiful fall evening. I felt perfectly comfortable dining in a pair of shorts, flip flops and T-shirt, although others were dressed less casually.
A very fun, casual place to go, and great value for money. The martinis are amazing.
Apparently the staff of this establishment doesn't care about the dining experience of all its customers. If a group wants to be loud and boistrous that uses foul language that offends patrons at adjoining tables, the staff doesn't see then need to ask them to tone it down and not use foul language.
