Kidstar Park, Port Charlotte

I had recently gone to Kidstar park for my kids birthday party in the outside part, the restaurant is very nice inside and the girls who work in there are excellent! the pizza and food is great as well. Also after the rain the moon bounce was closed and i had been given the same response as others have stated... but there was nothing that the attendants could do because it was absolutely soaked...

We visited there yesterday with my two children ages 9 and 3. We got there in the early evening and decided to purchase the wristbands. For $36 for two wristbands, they could ride on the rides as much as they wanted. It had rained in the early afternoon and there were some small puddles as we walked through the park (no big deal). However, most of the attendants were sitting around talking with themselves. My kids wanted to go into the moonbounce. The attendants said...sorry its wet. Instead of sitting around, why not be wiping it down and drying it off. Most of the rides were small (which is great), but they would not let my son ride them with his sister because she was not an adult. I am pregnant and cannot ride on any of the rides. There were some games available for playing with the wristbands. They were not functional at all. There were several times were I saw more that one attendant texting and playing on their cell phones. I come from a state where there are miles of boardwalks filled with rides and games and have NEVER experienced attendants on their phones or sitting around chatting with their buddies. I was EXTREMELY disappointed and am making it a point to share with anyone...DO NOT GO THERE....not worth your money at all

My first experience at KidStar was when I was 8 years old. I am almost 15 now and I still love returning to the little amusement park in the middle of the "town". But by the 4th visit or so it became dull. My friend and I had enough money to buy two wristbands (about $15 at the time) that allowed us to ride any of the rides for the day. There are only about 12 rides or so, several of which are only for small children. Because of this, $30 wasn't exactly well spent by two 14 year olds. I'd say the age range for the actual park itself is 2-10 years old, but that really depends on how easily a person is amused by the same rides. Overall, I give the park about a 3.5/5 because of the fun that you can have... the first couple of times. A great way to spend a Saturday, though :) -Jeseon

The reason I rated this place poor is because of our experience today. We were looking for a place to have a party so we could actually have someone else do the work and enjoy our children's birthday. The teenage girl they had do our party was so disorganized! She just sat on a chair and chatted with friends. She brough the pizza to our table but we had to serve the kids. We were charged 21.00 for three pitchers of soda for the adults, You can buy a pitcher of beer cheaper at some places! The cake was about 5 inches across! They brought my little girl a cake with a my little pony topper. She was so excited until they told her she could not keep the topper because it had to be re-used! All in all the kids had fun but the adults were exhausted and VERY stressed! This is not the place to have a party if you want to enjoy and watch your childs birthday because you will have to work. They did not even let her open her presents there because the rushed us out because they were overbooked. There were 16 kids at the party and at 20.00 per child I expected MUCH MORE help!

Don't expect it to Busch Gardens, but the price it is great. There is a new restaurant that serve great food, but the best is the virtual space ride, it is a blast. I love the rides, the roller coaster, and the ride where you lay on your belly and fly.

This place is open year round which is great. Liked the inside with the kids play area, shopping area and food court with live entertainment. Then outside are the kid's rides with go-kart, laser tag, etc. The fee for birthday party was very reasonable but know that if you say 10 kids they only get enough food for 10 kids and might run out of what you requested so you would have to go to the canteen next door and buy food and whatever else is included for the extra kids.

It was a nice place to go to let the kids have some fun and not spend a whole lot of money. It is not so big that it is over whelming. It is a nice little size to let the kids have some fun.

KidStar Park is ok. I think the rides are fun, but dont expect them to be "Busch Gardens" fun. The Space Sled is REALLY fun... and I highly reccomend going on the Go-Carts. They are REALLY fun!!! Now for the not-so-great part: It's not what it's worth. You can buy 10 tickets for 10 bucks, and lets say if you go on the space sled twice, and the rollercoaster twice, that's already 8 TICKETS! If you plan to stay for a while and like going on all the rides a couple of times, get the $15 wristband. Anyways, I reccomend going to KidStar if you need a local thrill.

This place is great! There is go-karts, laser-tag, black light pool, tons of arcade games, an indoor play unit (think McDonalds ball-pits, but huge!), tons of arcade games, rides, etc...it is great for little kids, teenagers, parents, and grandparents. Also, there is an indoor, airconditioned flea market next door.
