Conceived as a "Regional Floridian Grill," this multi award-winning restaurant serves an extensive selection of innovative and critically acclaimed regional cuisine with diverse accents such as Mediterranean, Asian, Tropical, Southwestern, and Southern evident on the menu. They are open nightly for dinner and reservations are suggested.
As part of “Dine Out Lauderdale” we went to Café Maxx for their related $35 price fixed menu. The food was fine except for the cold tomatoes on the Caprese salad, over cooked vegetables that came with the Petite Filet Mignon and the Crème Brulee that was mostly cream. However, the service was not friendly and felt rushed. Given their normal prices we don’t think the value is there for a return visit.
Travel and Dine around the world. Cafe Maxx is TOPS

Have dined here before and it has been excellent every time! The menu always has new offerings, although maybe does not change as often as it did in the early years.
The managment stays the same, and run a tight opperation. The sevice staff is always freindly, professional and sharp.
Ambiance is warm and has a classy charm.
Always a great wine list and now offer a full bar. But best of all the FOOD.
If you want a trendy place to eat so you can say "yes I have been to Cafe Max in Pompano Beach" yes this is for you. But if you are looking for good food, Steer Clear of this place. The only thing you will get here is some nouveau-crap. You can do much better almost anywhere in Fort Lauderdale.
excellent fish dishes, love the displayed seafood and display cooking, excellent wine selection, service is usually excellent although sometimes at peak periods they seem overwhelmed. overall a great restaurant that has many years of proven success.
