So Sad...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/25/09
This place is a nightmare!!! The management is useless and the support staff is pathetically under trained and unable to deal with any issue other than taking your money. Do not expect any assistance deciding what to buy or what your kids are big enough or not big enough to ride. The water park is just plain nasty. Where does this place get off charging the same prices as six flags or waterville? I actually took my complaint to the owner Mr. Sanfilippo, recognize the name? Yes his family stole millions of dollars from unsuspecting families for homes that they never built. Still trying to rip people off and make a quick dirty buck... Dont try to clean up your name by marketing a good family park when nothing works and you dont clean...

Too little for too much $$
By Patty, 06/01/09
Very over-priced for what is available. Amusement park does not have adequate staff to run the rides so you have to wait while the attendants run from ride to ride to let you on. Inside the line was very long, whether to purchase food, wristbands or tickets...everyone is grouped into one very slow line. The waterpark side is nice, but very small for the cost. I would rather take my kids to Waterville or Big Kahunas. They cost a little more but have so much more to do that their is no comparison. My kids were done with Sams Fun City waterpark in 2 hours, but spent the entire day at Waterville and Big Kahunas on different occasions.

Needs better management!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/08
I have had the annual pass to the park and been there on many occasions. Don't try to compare it to a major amusement park because it is clearly a local family attraction (which,BTW, we could use more of). I agree it is overpriced, but, in the heat of the summer, getting the kids outside in a cool place is priceless. THE "AMUSEMENT" PARK side is a headache. If you can find someone to run the rides you better follow them or you will be walking around looking at a ghost town. THE WATER PARK is well staffed with lifeguards and enjoyable for pre-school age kids. However, the junior area (ages 5-10 or so) has 2 out of 3 slides that have been closed for as long as the park has been open. When I asked, I was told they had no plans to repair these and make them usable. The other main problem is the cleanliness. By the end of last summer their was slime hanging from the water holes on the "palm tree fountains". To Sams: Repair and clean what you have instead of building more!!!

Good local fun for 8 years and younger
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/08
Overall the place is run down. Almost everything needs to be painted including the pavement markings in the parking lot, the train station, the support columns holding up the slides. They are currently painting the bathrooms and they smelled better today compared to last summer. The staff was nice and they had plenty of life guards in the Water Park area. The Amusement Park area had limited staff. I hope they can clean up the grounds and parking area. Its not too inviting to see piles of concrete from their recent construction and construction equipment laying around. I agree it is pricey for the Pensacola market. I understand they have added on to the Water Park and they are improving but $84.00 for a family of 4 from 11 to 5? Seems a little high for 6 hours in the water park. If you want the rides, putt putt golf, laser tag or any other "dry" amusement its another significant cost.

circle-ing the drain
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/06
The waterpark appears to be the only management focus at this time. It's all new and small for the price but well staffed. The original day park has been obviously neglected in maintenance and staffing as a money saving measure.A recent birthday party had a troop of ten 9 year olds marching from ride to ride only to find no operator{as the staff each are responsible for 4-5 attractions].The disappointment was obvious.I tried to cheer up some with an expensive game of miniature golf ,only to discover that the previously entertaining and themed course was completely degraded due to lack of maintenance.I personally lost 3 balls because of leaves in underground tubes.During cake time,I purchased a Go-Cart ticket for 6 dollars{5 minutes in line because it is also the concession stand]only to see the sole operator walk away from the 10 or so patient patrons in line for 10 minutes with no explaination.Another 5 minute wait saw the manager explain that they give no refunds even if the ride is out of service.I got my refund {I am large}and will not be back untill management is changed.I used to be a Rocky and Bullwinkle fan.Poop.

By me@, 04/08/06
Overall: Excellent PROS::::has an arcade, laser tag, bumper boats, 3 go-kart tracks, mini golf, lots of kid rides, a train ride, a huge covered concert area, a water park w/ 15 waterslides + constructed river water way, food if you get hungry, karaoke and more... the staff is all wonderful and personable... go and have fun! CONS::::no cons... (((reply to earlier post))) They obviously went before sfc had the waterpark and all the upgrades.

Not very handicapped friendly Little ones enjoy it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/30/05
Smaller children seem to enjoy Sam's Fun City, the largest downfall is their price. If you spend a few dollars more you can enjoy Disney, Six Flags, or Universal. A tip to save money for food is to download their coupon. It is not handicapped friendly. On the day we went, the handicapped restrooms were being used by Sam's Fun City employees (when other stalls were open to them to use) or they were filthy. You cannot get onto rides easily, your best bet is the train when it actually runs. If you want to watch your children (under seven years old) have a good time then it's alright. If you have older children they will become bored because of their limited rides. Most of the staff is friendly, and that is why I gave them the three star rating. The game rooms gives better prizes then what you would receive at a children's pizza arcade (like chucky's). Overall the staff is what makes the park when you run into the friendly ones.

We saw THE RETURN!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/21/05
We saw THE RETURN there so, that was nice! They are a Beatles attribute band. Their weren't alot of rides but, they did target my daughters age group! She is 4. The only problem I saw was they didn't check to make sure the doors were locked on the scrambler ride and they didn't check for heights. The atmosphere was great and felt safe!
