Captain Anderson's Marina is a great place the whole family can enjoy. Try renting a charter boat for a deep-sea fishing excursion. They offer cruises where you can see the sights of the marina and the beautiful surrounding area like Shell Island. If you prefer land activities, the marina has a variety of shops and seafood markets/restaurants too. It is open daily from 8 am onwards.

Charter boat fishing
By ACT, 6/12/11
One reason i heard( years ago) the reason you ride more than you fish is they really go out to scout for the commercial fisherman and let them know where the fish are ,which in turn they get compensated

The Old Man and the Sea
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/22/11
I honestly say that my favorite boat the Gemini Queen when it took out on 15 hour trips 2am to 5pm it was a little better fishing. Amberjacks, Red Snapper, Mai Mai, Grouper, White Snapper and B-liners were popular catches. As when I was in my adolescence I used to take that fishing trip and lay down on the bow of the boat and look at the stars and watched the early morning night just bounce around. I would encourage Children when they get their first ride on the Gulf to gather around the bow of the boat and let them see how much creativity and imagination that is fostered by this type of vacationing. I can agree that the waters are over fished and are in need of replentishing. The resturant's reputatiion is as usual one of the best in the US.

Go on the longer trip
By JoshuaM, 8/11/08
We went on the Gemini Queen 5 hour fishing trip, the deck hands were great (ours was Josh) but I don't think the Captin knew what he was doing as he would get to a spot and let use fish for about 10 mins then leave we spent more time riding than fishing and out of a 5 hour trip you expect to fish for 2-3 hours we got about 45 mins of fishing and 4 hours of riding we really weren't given time to fish and that was the only reason we went. maybe on a longer trip where you get to go into fed. waters

BEST MONEY SPENT
By L L, 10/31/07
From the moment we boarded the cruise I felt like I was on a relaxed oasis. The waitress was very cheerful and curtious. We enjoyed the buffet that gave a nice variety of options even chicken finger for the children. The band was excellent with a flair of comedy and variety of music the whole family enjoyed Seabreeze even toasted me and my wife to our 10th Anniversary and sang When A Man Loves A Woman. My wife nearly wept. I highly recommend this Cruise and will go again year after year. Thanks for a job well done.

Fantastic
By Carolyn, 1/20/07
A few years ago, my husband and I took The Lady Anderson Cruise for our anniversary. We both loved every minute of it. Everyone treated us so good. The cruise was so smooth, and the view was beautiful. The food could not have been any better and the band was great. We hope to take this cruise on a regular basis.

Christmas on the bay
By Erica, 12/23/06
First I'd like to say for the price, the cruise was a complete bargain. With ticket prices at 44.50 per person for a two and a half hour long cruise, that includes a delicious southern meal and bread, salad, and desert. The only things we paid for on board were drinks from the bar and gratuity. Lets start by saying that our experience with the staff was great from the beginning to the end. The reservationist was so helpful and gave details about the boat and the experience that painted a picture for us. The hostess upon boarding gave a warm welcome aboard and wished us happy holidays. The boat was elegantly decorated for Christmas. The tables were dressed in white linens and faux candles. The lights were slightly dimmed and there was christmas house music on. Our server, Erica, greeted us with a warm smile and a run down of times when we would recieve salads and about when the buffet would begin. She also brought us our drinks, which were priced very low for a cruise. Shortly before departing the band began playing. I must disagree with one of the previous reviewers about the band. In my opinion, which is most likely superior to the other reviewer, the band was great! Everything was in check. The guitar player had a very melodic male voice and new his way around his instrument. The drummer and pianist were also equally talented. The Pianist took the role of lead singer most of the time as well as playing the keyboard. She also managed taking care of the baseline. There set lists were so varietal w/ anything from Jimmy Buffet to The rolling stones to Sugarland. Although they had their corny moments the quality of the music was excellent. The food was good, although I do prefer a sit down dinner, the buffet styled meal was a well presented southern cooked meal. The night was so romantic and idyllic. The winter sunset was beautiful and the weather was mild enough to stand outside on the third deck and observe it. Overall this cruise was a perfect night in Panama City Beach, Fl. The cruise encompessed the theme of the town, boating, southern cooking, and live music. I would reccomend this cruise for any age group. It is a forty five dollars well spent!!!

it was okay
By lesley p, 7/5/06
My husband and i went on this for my birthday and had planned this for months. The band was a "bad wedding band" but the more drinks the passengers had the more they enjoyed it. The prime rib was good, but for the price i felt that chicken tenders should of been left off the menu. In the bathrooms the tiles in the ceiling were falling down. However the view was beautifull at nite sitting on the deck. Mostly glad we went, won't do it again.

So much fun!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/9/06
My husband and I have been on this cruise two times and loved it! We are planning on taking our daughters this April while they are on Spring Break. The food was great and it is all you can eat. Lots of variety of food. The shrimp was my favorite! We are looking forward to our next trip. Pam Covington,Georgia
