A Hidden Gem!!
By Jessica Britt, 9/23/11
I liked EVERYTHING about this place. It was the most beautiful place I have ever seen and we cannot WAIT to go back!!! It was so amazing to see the clear blue waters and the deep holes. We were told by locals that we had come here at a very good time because the actual creek itself was not muddy, it was also crystal clear, which was rare and due to no rain. You could see all the fish in the water around you. And the water was sooooo cold. It was an overcast the day we went so it was almost too cold for me. If you come to Panama City for vacation, I would definitely recommend stopping by here on your way home like we did. We come to Panama City every year for vacation and Econfina Creek will be a new stop for us everytime. It truly is a Fountain of Youth!!

Awesome, friendly service!
By Al, 9/5/11
Service was wonderful!! All of the ladies behind the counter were fun, informative and very helpful. I did the things they suggested and had a wonderful, relaxing trip. I found this trip to be a bargain. They transport you and your vessel back to the beginning where your vehicle waits. No placing vehicles at start and finish, no boat hauling after a long day. What more could you want? Dislikes? The heat and humidity!! But at least the springs were cool!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/11
The river and the trip was awesome, BUT........ the lady at the Econfina Creek Canoe Livery was horrible. She had no sense of humor and yelled at our group for no reason. My suggestion is to rent your own kayak or canoe (from Bonita Bay at Tyndall-only $15) and put in at the public "put in spot" off of Highway 20 for free! No need to start your day off with someone who obviously doesn't understand customer service.

Looking forward to our next visit.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/20/11
The only think I can think of to dislike was the horseflys so be sure to bring bug spray. Other than the pesty biting flys this place is truly beautiful. We've been visiting PCB for years but this was our first time to Ecofina and it won't be our last. We had no idea what to expect so we didn't think of packing a lunch but we will next time as you will make a full day of this trip. We visited during the week so it was not at all crowded but I'm told that weekends can be. The waters were crystal blue and amazing. Can't wait to take friends back in Sept.

Like a jungle movie set/but real
By KellyC, 6/20/11
EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! There is nothing much I can say but that-you have to see it to believe it. We all rode around in our canoes with our mouths ajar with amazement. That place is a cross between a True Blood set, and The Jungle book

Absolutely beautiful!!!
By Biff J., 6/13/11
How could you NOT love this place? The water is clear, the temperature was perfect, and even though there were people drinking and they were a bit loud and rowdy, you can still have a great time... You just need to go around them... Everybody is cool with everybody else... Doesn't matter who is from where.... I've been at least 5 times the past 3 yrs and every time has been just as breathtaking as the last.... One of my favorite creeks to paddle!!!!

Nature Lover's Delight - Ecofina Canoe Livery
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/10
We are 60 years old and have never kayaked before today. We had the most wonderful experience looking into the crystal clear waters as we drifted along listening to the sounds of nature. We went mid-week and only saw five other kayaks/canoes the entire trip. I did not expect to see such beautiful springs. They looked like the hot springs in Yellowstone - bright aqua blue waters bubbling up to the surface, except they are 62 degrees! It was like natural air conditioning on the creek. Although the temperature was is the 80"s, we were extremely comfortable. We took bug spray, but were not bothered at all by mosquitoes. We adore the beach, but this place is so special, I just had to share our excitement! I have found the fountain of youth, as I felt like a kid again! Atmosphere - Rustic, and you wouldn't want it any other way!

The REAL Florida panhandle!
By Arliss Bayless, 8/6/10
This is a wonderful, natural way to get acquainted with the REAL Florida panhandle! Just be aware that you are in nature and it's not a theme park ride. There's no rough water but this trip's not for non-swimmers or those who can't take protracted heat or sun exposure. The staff's a little diffident for my liking, but it's a backwoods type of operation so just chalk it up to experience. Overall. it's a YES. Enjoy!

Lots of Natives
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/6/10
The scenery was great; however, the intoxicated locals wanted to turn everyone over in their boat. Do not go on a week-end if you have family with you. I'm from an extremely rural southern town and this was even a touch too much for me. Do I hear banjos?
