Miracle Strip Amusement Park, Panama City Beach

Miracle Strip @ Pier Park is a small amusement park at the heart of Pier Park at PCB. It has some of the original rides from MSAP and more. In 2012 it will have a total of 9 rides and a Butterfly Pavillion and play area for the kids. It has the original MSAP carousel, balloon ride, and plane ride and a replica of the Big Eli ferris wheel and Sea Dragon they had. You can go back a relive some of yesteryear.

Miracle Strip Amusement is closed and will not reopen. The park is gone and land for sale. Shipwreck Island Water Park is open seasonally. PCB still has Plenty of fun family things to do!!

Glad I found this site, or my family and I would have driven to PCB for nothing. Our vacation was going to be centered around Miracle Strip. I guess PCB just lost some more tourists, as we'll be seeking out amusement elsewhere.

I'm 47 years old and grew up going to PCB every summer. The Mikracle strip and Goofy Golf were the two places I always had to go, and always spent my night time play hours at the Miracle Strip. After breaking my neck in a diving accident I didn't make it back to PCB for several years and when I did, I wish I had never returned. The Old Volcano is a mall with no zoo behind it. Goofy Golf was there and my family all had pictures taken in tbe monkeys hand. The Miracle strip was closed. The haunted mansion and roller coaster were torn down. The gates were locked. The inside of the park had grown up with bushes and trees with only a couple of the old buildings roof tops sticking through the trees. I at there alone in my wheelchair, in the huge now vacant parking rememering the wondeful times I'd had there from as early as I can remeber to well into my 20's. Then I began to cry, not because of my loss but because of the memories my children and grandchidren will never have the opportunity to make in this miraculous place appropriatley named "the Miracle Strip." I understand that things change but I also understand that some things are worth saving. The Miracle Strip was worth saving. Letting the Miracle Strip close was a huge mistake and my family will go else where from now on to make memories where children still can.

I am still recovering from the closure of the great old Miracle Strip Amusement Park in Panama Beach, Florida. I went as a child and later watched my children grow up having the time of their lives there. Beautifully maintained, wonderful, classic rides, and excellent guest relations made this park truly one of a kind. Now, gone and replaced with more sterile, boring concrete buildings that seem to increasingly crash into one another on an already crowded strip. No more of the charming "mom and pop" establishments either. We haven't been back since Miracle Strip closed, nor will we ever return. One can get a concrete jungle in the city!

As a child, teen, and youg adult I loved this pcb as the Miracle Strip always made the visit complete. So many wonderful memories of that place, even just a few with my children. Now that the Miracle Strip is gone we will not be back. What a terrible mistake to take that place away from so many that loved it. No longer can we share or make memories at pcb and the miracle strip. Terrible mistake!!

I wanted to show my friend a cool place to take her family and was so upset that the Miracle Strip amusement Park was gone I spend many summer here when I was young I also would like to known why you closed it down bad move I loved it my hole family and friends loved it noow we have to find a new place to take our grandchildren

i beleive that this was an injustice to the adult and the kids i only went there one time but it was the most wonderful time of my life every year i go to shipwreck water park but i always wonder off to were miracle strip used to be and i sigh bring it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i would like to know why it was closed down

Wow! I am so glad I searched Miracle Strip, or I would have been extremely upset that it's no longer there. I'm going to be in the area next week with my children and was planning on stopping by for a few days to spend some money. I use to travel there from Pensacola (now living in Houston, Texas) every summer back in the 70's. I know Panama City Beach can't possibly be the same with out Miracle Strip Amusement Park. Nevermind, I'll find somewhere else to go and spend my money!

Just add me to the list of sad and upset over the closing of Miracle Strip Amusement Park. I am 36 and we went there every year from Missouri and that was the first place I HAD to go. I loved everything about it and wanted to take my children there. I have not been back to PCB since the closing of the park. I had alot of memories there and I understand some things change but some things are also better left alone.
