Club La Vela

Despite all my friends' warnings about how horrible and overrated this place is, I did want to go to a place that was "the biggest nightclub" in the U.S. I paid the outrageous $25 cover and walked in. The time people must come here is on Spring Break, when they clearly take all the cool pictures you see. When we went on a weekend in the summer, it was absolutely dead. There was no one on the dance floor, and about 90% of the clientele were guys just awkwardly staring at the girls. This made girls I know uncomfortable and guys I know disappointed. A friend of mine got kicked out of the club because he talked to a girl that had shut down a bouncer. The bouncer got jealous and physically removed this guy from the club. Very unprofessional.

By far the worst experience of my life. The bartenders are as old if not older than the club. There was no light in the bathroom. Mostly guys. Party with thousands of pissed off people. Biggest scam of Panama City Beach!!

Club La Vela loves their trademark slogan: party with thousands. However, after visiting experiencing this club first hand, I think they should change it to Club la Vela: circle jerk with a hundred dudes. Not only is the girl to guy ratio here terrible, but the staff is very unfriendly, the clientelle consists of steriod sandwich eating "d-bags", and many of the "bars" inside the club were completely empty. I would rather burn the twenty five dollars it cost for admission. I almost wanted to ask for a refund. What a joke. Do youself a favor... don't waste a night at club the vela.

Party with thousands? There was nobody there. Busiest week of spring break. The club was terrible. $14 for a drink. $2.75 for a glass of water. $1.75 for a glass of ice (I asked). They told me to drink pool water. They must love their customers if they want them to drink out of the pool. There WERE hundreds of people there. ALL "roid-rage" dudes. The absolute worst time of my life. You're better off burning the $25 cover charge.

This club is annoying, I was 17 when I went and it was all ages night for the Ying Yang Twins concert. No one informed me that if you're under 21 you get kicked out at 12am. So I paid $25 and went at likw 11 with my sister and some friends. She was of age and she went to go get a drink and some lady told me to leave, I didn't understand, so I was like why? She didn't tell me and grabbed me and through me out. I stated my sister was up there and she was who I was with and she freaked out on me. So we all had to leave at 12 without being informed. Very irritating.

too many girl...you would think there would be tons of guys because the club is so big...but no...tons of drunk sloppy girls hangin on me tryin to get me to dance two thumbs waayyy down

i am ceo of a tour company and i took my group to club la vela so they could have a good time since there are several different clubs in there. It was ladies night there and drinks were free until 12:00am around 11:35 i go up to get my drink and the bartender kept ignoring me so i waited then around 11:50 he announces free drinks over so i stayed there cause he knew i had been there cause he looked at me several times then at 11:55 he asked me what i wanted i told him what i had and he stated $5.50 i replied i should still get my drink free as many people he waited on before me. Then he stated five fifty take it or leave it so i gave him a few choice words and told him to keep the cup i don't need it then he said put her out and i told him i don't give a care i'll take my group somewhere else. I asked to speak to someone over him and the bouncers kept giving me the run around several of the people in my group said he was very rude to them when they went up to order a drink. For a business that is suppose to be high in standard they need to pick there staff a little more better and i'm very disappointed in the way i was treated there and im not going to let this slide.

Went to Bad Company concert for my 40th Birthday.Show was good,but Lavela kicked me out & never told me what for! They asked me to leave & I asked them what the problem was,they said go then grabbed me & through me out! I then turned around & flipped them off after I was thrown out & that is the only thing I was told that I did wrong to be tossed out,but that was after I was out!Even one of there own security guy's asked me what did I do & I replied,I'm still trying to figure that out? Even called next day to ask what I'd done but they couldn't tell me! Never been kicked out of any place without knowing what for!Drunk or not! I'll never go back to Club La Vela in Panama City FL.again!

This place is much fun for teens and adults the dancing the loud music and the fun is all worth the price to get in. make sure your next trip to panama city you go to club la vela
